Naryar vs Goldenfox93 (DQ: GoldenFox93)
« on: December 14, 2011, 07:58:26 AM »
DSL HW Strict realistic

It will be first a community vote for the coolest/most interesting/better bot overall (and you MUST explain via post why are you voting for the other bot, no voting because you dislike one of the combatants), and then a fight to the death in the Epic Showdown.

Now for rules -

-DSL HW
-No multibots
-Bots MUST be correctly powered according to their motor and battery stats.
-Standard DSL non-cheatbot2 and non-hidden components only.
-Bots must look, function and overall act like plausible real life robotic combat designs. That excludes jugglers, popups, FS, top spinners, crawlers, bumble balls, etc.
-Extender work must be suitably strong according to the weight of what is attached on it.
-No more than 2 flamethrowers, if you are using them.
-No unrealistic glitch abuse (like the flamethrower glitch)
-No invincible armor of any kind, nor heavy plows.
-No more than 4 flails on each bot

You ready for this ? [/chun-li]

How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

Ginsu was a Super Heavyweight in one of the Battlebots seasons, that also had sawblades for wheels.

And I would also class this as a crawler, since it doesn't have typical wheels, although it's sawblades aren't as typically sawblade-shaped as the ones on Saw Point there.

Stop spamming this thread. I said no crawlers, it's no crawlers.

You call that a plausible real life robot combat design ?

Keyword being PLAUSIBLE. This saw crawler basically looks utterly useless in combat.

And indeed it was- Saw Point lost pretty hard to Panic Attack in Round 2. Was almost lifted OOTA by Panic Attack, before eventually being slammed around, immobilised and pitted with very little resistance overall.

I never said it was combat effective
All I was implying is that it IS  possible to build a crawler IRL, no matter how non-combat effective it would be.
How does "plausible" mean "combat-effective"?

Also GF better not chicken out. Maybe he has finally realized how awesome I am and he's cowering in his corner :trollface
