i've got kingofkings bot, but idk what this match is even supposed to be. like is this IRL, standard or what? cause kingofkings bot is barely DSL-S realistic imo, and it has a bfe'd burst arc.

if someone could hook me up on what this challenge is supposed to be then let me know.

Well, that's the thing, there always has to be an assumption. I always believed that the assumption for bfe and any other glitches is for them to be banned.

With the thrackerzod wedges and this thing, I'm not assuming anything in challenge board anymore, unless someone puts "standard ruleset" or something like that like in my challenge with Madman.

As I read the rules, it's DSL 2.2 MW, best 2 out of 3, no popups or SnS, and anything goes other than those rules. So I assumed it was just that.

Of course, OP is new so he doesn't know very well the rules of contests and tournaments. So it's good it's being clarified.

I'm tempted to make a thread about assumptions, rules as written, and rules as intended in the challenge board, so it hopefully clarifies stuff.

I have actually already contacted Dragonfire about this a while back and he has some amendments to the rules ready to go, he just told me he'd implement them once he has the time.

We clarified rules they are DSL-S and NO glitches to include BFE for this round otherwise everything else is the same as previously stated, I apologize for any confusion. Also I have my bot in.

The only way that the RA2 Wiki seems to seemingly define a difference between a popup and a hammer is a popup uses a short extender and strikes using a weapon that's concealed within the chassis. A hammer uses an extender of 60cm or longer and strikes down. I think KoK's robot is more of a hammer than a popup, by definition.

In popup, it also mentions that they use short hammers to 'gut-rip their (the opposing robot's) underside'. The way in which KoK's robot went about destroying TRB's was by hitting the top of the robot (most of the time.)

I agree with this, the only reason that I posted the disclaimer is because there were a few people who felt otherwise when he posted it in his showcase.

lol, that's not a popup... that's a special kind of hammer. A bit like my Triple Seven except mine was more popup than this one. I would call it wedged hammer, but there would be some confusion with a simple hammer with component wedges.

flipping hammer ? not to be confused with flipper/hammer (which has two different weapon setups)

Well, I wouldn't cheat like that. Although, I'll say one thing. Something definitely odd happened with my bot. It took far too little damage to be completely and utterly destroyed...

yeah i totally sabotaged your bot. i couldn't stand to see your bot win so i made deal with kingofkings to fix the match. yeah ya caught me, i admit it.

or maybe you're just sh** at building, who knows.

Maybe if you posted bots to your showcase and learned how to improve you could actually make a competent bot instead of making excuses all the time.
