After Season 1 ended up exceeding my expectations, I have decided to immediately start up Season 2.

attention! I have 2 new rules for season 2!!   1- the wheel fix is now required for ALL spinners. dont worry, you wont need to resubmit your entries.   2- flippers and hammers are now allowed, as long as its ai`d. if anybody wants to volenteer to help, you can do so. Also, they have to be motor powered, no pistons.

If a spinner takes enough damage in RR2, then the entire weapon just falls of and starts sliding across the arena. However, if you attach a wheel to the motor first and then attach a weapon to the wheel, the spinner becomes invincible, gets rid of the blur, and makes the spinner faster.

I'm all for the weapons not falling off ect, my issue with the wheel fix on weapons however is the fact once this is in effect it no longer classes it as a weapon and instead as a wheel. After a while of battle, once a robot deals a hit with it's spinner the robot itself is dealt damage rather than the opposing robot.

I just feel like from here this would be easily exploited by having robots with static weapons beating those with spinning weapons (which lets be honest, it would be very rare for a static weapon to beat a spinner).

That's just my two cents on the topic though.

Yeah, it seems like bots having wheel fix die much faster because of the damage from themselves.

Well in parsec rumble, this is taken to consideration, and if a bot does kill itself it goes to the judges. However in this game, i dont think that that is a good idea

Plus lets face it, the aspect of losing a primary weapon does add some extra excitement xD

After Season 1, I don't feel like it is so much '2 hits and they fall off', there was quite a good while of fighting with weapons still on!

I've sent in Phantasm with the wheel fix, but in testing it in the test area I found it more prone to have the weapon glitching through the floor/wall and the bot getting stuck.
Should the rule on needing wheel fix to enter get reversed, then I know I'll want my bots without it.

Well, uhh... I guess Imma post a survey to see if either Wheelfix is required or banned. Either way, Flippers and Hammers require it regardless of the result. Vote ends on the 20th.

With WHEELS. I'm all for the wheel fix being used on actual wheels, not on weapons.

Ok then, no problem.

Just to be clear on my stance on this:

Wheelfix on Wheels: Yes

Wheelfix on Weapons: No

Wheelfix on bots like HUGE and Gabriel: Yes UNTIL the game doesn't make non-wheel fixed items have a spin blur around them, and therefore glitchy.

In ai battles weapons seem to be more durable. However if a lifter or a flipper is entered with a motor powering it, it will fall off pretty easily (in my case i entered DUCK). I'd say, keep the wheelfix for wheels and flippers, As for axes, its a mixed bag, on one side, wheelfix will remove the ability to damage opponents, on the other hand no wheelfix means that the axe will fall off. Now using a burst is a thing, but its too powerful. Might enter an axebot to see how it does
