Weight:
DSL 2.1 BW, robots may not weigh anymore then 175kg
Construction:
Standard Realistic Rules Apply
No BFE or AAM, all building must be done within the bot lab
no AI parts or cheatbot2 part only standard DSL
standard building glitches maybe used so long as they dont violate the above conditions
if your robot causes a match result effecting havok it will gain 1 restart, upon second offense it will be DQ'd
All robots must show controlled movement
AI:
Please AI yourself if you know how, if not I can
Format:
robots are randomly paired with a partner which that will fight alongside in a series of 2 on 2 matchs
once 1 team is victorious the to team mates will fight it out in a death match to determine the winner.
16 places are available making 8 teams in the bracket.
Arena:
arena will be the Xtreamer Arena which will be made by JoeBlo upon interest within this tournament

Is it just me, or last time some randomer came in and started a tournament, we all 'gave him a chance' but it ended up completely messed up and someone else (Thanks again G.K) had to take over. I don't think running a tournament is a good idea unless you've been here long enough - and posted enough maybe - for people to KNOW you are able. I know people will get upset if they try entering a tournament for it to end up in a ditch somewhere.

One wheel drive robot with a weapon opposing the drive motor than just spins on itself AND goes for the opponent as well.
Kinda like Erratic Vortex but faster and without a spinning weapon.

You post here first and when you have ALL the rules worked out, then you post them in the Signups section and that is where you ask for entries!

I do know builders that were rather good after 2 months of building.
Examples include Reier, Ounce and 123STW.

Actually, this IS NOT an ant tournament.....antweight is 125.0 or less.
You new guy's should read the posts in the forum for a few days before starting crap like this!
There is already a REAL antweight tournament started, and by all rights.....this should be closed and locked. (HELL, it was even posted in the wrong section at first)
Since this is in discussion mode, maybe make it be real AW (125.0 or less) or BW (175.0 or less) and make it so it will be different than the other tournaments running.

turns out there is another world outside genericland :P
I rather like it, makes for interesting matches... remember how far GK got with MKB.. only then your teamate doesnt get half the credit in the end :P

About the format... Last time i went in a team i failed... so i'd rather like either a classic 1vs1 deathmatch format, either team matches but one-man teams (each builder builds 2 bots), because there is too much randomness in a rumble for my taste.

Ianh05 said he couldn't do the light weight tourney anymore and said someone else can take it up but know one did, which is a shame because me Craig had a pretty good team for it :frown: .

Don't go asking that yet, at the moment this is still in discussion stage. It must progress to the signups stage before you get people into it. In discussion you sort out the rules and format, and make sure there is enough interest. You can then make a signups topic. I'm sure this is in some kinda rules thingy somewhere XD

TX, nobody's against you here. Usually 'threads like this' are shut down immediately.... though yours was not.
You need, like everyone else, to follow protocol set in place by experience, which makes things run smoother for all involved, including the tourney host. Many here will go out of their way to help you, including me.
Your desire and efforts to do this are appreciated, just receive some 'tried and tested' input so that things can work out for the better. And if you need help/input, just ask, NP.

i have bade my BW. easier to make then AW. i have tested it against the AW and BW bots that came with DSL and beat all of them, but then again, it was me driving and not AI. all you people may now know about it is that it's called 'nightbox'.

GK is already involved in 2 - 3 other tournaments.......these new guy's need to do their own work, OR NOT START TOPICS
I will make a list (using the list Joeblo uses in current tournaments) to help me to determine which tournaments are lagging, or stopped.....(like Gigafrost's :mad: ) and give a deadline, or close and ban further tournaments by the violators. (Ianh05 comes to mind to :mad: )

Anyways, if TeamXtremer is unable to film vids this should either be dumped, either be took over by GK, either be put into hibernation until TX can film vids, either remove 3 eithers because there are too much of them in this sentence.
