Wild Card 1: Its fantastic to see unusual robots for the first fight especialy the two massive wheeled robot.
Wild Card 2: Another good fight I think theres 3 spinners already!

@LLoopp: I might do a losers bracket if there is a demand for it. MKB's only doing the winners though.

PREDICTIONS !

Team MG - The shell spinner isn't bad, but it's teammate isn't a threat to any decent bot.

Invertible Inferno - The SnS's weapons fail and Drumbeat has a weak weapon and a highly exposed chassis. Not going to get far.

Team Evilocity - The rammer is average nothing more, and yet another generic flail shell spinner that is pretty decent as well.

Team ShortfixX - Lloopp's bot is just too fast for it to perform well and Jack's... well it's not bad. It can fair decently if that uber-fast thing can toss a bot OOTA like TG's Nero did.

Nameless Ones - My bot is pretty good as long as the wheel doesn't gets hit too much. I am somehow worried about the shell spinners though. Scrap's can beat almost all of my AI so it's good enough i think...

Team Awesomesauce - Both designs aren't bad fighters... they are average fighters.

Xtreme Cuisine - Probably the third top team. Side hammers aren't that good in the LW division and Reier's VS is too fast for my taste - might go and topple over. Now can it be better in spikeball mode or not ?

Deadly Accuracy - As expected, one of the top teams and a threat to ours. Now can it fair well ?

Team MG - GK's robot looks good, MKB ? Im ot to sure... if its a flipper its not going to have anything to push off?

Invertible Inferno - The SnS isnt all that bad imo, Drumbeat is a little exposed.. I think they could be a worry to each other ???

Team Evilocity - the rammer is likely the biggest problem for my robot, the shell spinner looks ok.. from the pic it looks havoky

Team ShortfiXXX - I love the look of JD's robot, something a little different. not to sure on LDL's robot

??? - yes I love to hate 1 wheeled robots :P scraps looks nice

Awesomesauce - Hug's will grab a robot and not let go unless they escape, its suprisingly made short work of opponants, Craaig's VS is swinging around some nice hammers, would love to see it rearend a robot Hug's is holding

Xtreme Cuisine - Urjak's is a nice build but I think one of the VS robots will make short work out of it, Reier's VS looks good, I think it will be a decideing factor in matches

Deadly Accuracy - The pop up looks pretty good but I fear a quick death from one of the VS robots, Pwn's also looks good.. I hope Hug's goes for it... I think it will love those open sides :P

Well I don't know if he is coming back, but he PM'med me a link to 70 Free Bots.RAR

I downloaded it, extracted it, and instead of bots there was just an application called Ultimate Virus. I deleted it.

I just wanted to give everyone hope that this tourney will continue.

GK, in the event MKB aborts and leaves us all hanging out my suggestion to you is to not take over this tournament but instead.

start a new topic, new name, brackets, arena, etc only keeping the entries the same and have it as YOUR tournament (I can help you with this when and if this action is required)

however dont do anything further until we find out whats the deal with MKB, just as I said before hostile takeover isnt an option.

I havent seen the video but..

one of the wonderful things in RA2 is that small robots with fast drive sometimes have the ability to drive alogn the wall for a small amount of time

I made a robot that used it as a form of weaponry  :mrgreen:

I'm not sure. Depends of whose bot goes where, so basically what Nary said (Tie). I reckon we might do alright. But just not sure. I have a feeling we're a bit more powerful - my weapon is certainly faster/more dangerous than Pwn's anyway, in my opinion.

OK, the shell spinner's not bad, but MKB's bot is probably the SFTW of the tournament (lloopp's bot is not far though), and if the the old and young duo gangs up on the shell spinner's it over. Xtreme Cuisine wins.

Deadly Accuracy VS Nameless Ones: ZOMG U GUYZ R GOIN D0WN !!!!!!!1 Hmm... Well, my bot can beat Ounce's bot relatively easily but has more trouble with Pwn. It all depends of Scrap's weapon motor getting ripped off or not. I am probably dead if this happens, but if Scrap's VS does well, we can win this.

Losers bracket !

Awsomesauce VS Shortfixxx: Well... In bot efficiency, i am saying Craaig > JD> Joe > lloopp, so Awesomesauce wins. lloopp will probably fail, and the HAFAA - TOIATF duo is enough to take out that sawbot.

Evilocity VS Infertible Inferno:  With a shell spinner on Evilocity's side, Evilocity will win. Easily.

in future.. for the first round or 2 probably best to not get to ahead encase of any issues with things

for example I did CC3 round 1 video by video.. C33 noticed something particular he wanted in his AI that wasn't present and I was able to fix it. once any problems were fixed I am now filming whole rounds at a time  ;)

It actually tends to happen more often to 1-piece wedges than to others wedge setups.  This is why I added an aluminum skirt to the front of Hydrosphere to act as a stabilizer.

Both do use small wedges and DSL bars on their metal hinges. Unlike flat sheets on metal hinges, these normally don't go under the ground (and are wedgier :P)

But yeah, if you're forced to use skirts as wedges, make sure you prevent them from sinking into the ground.
