i posted this at the ra2 fourms a while ago but seeing how dead all the tournys got i think its time to bring it up again. i dont have a way to record the fights yet but if you guys want to enter then here are the rules. you will make 3 bots the wight classes are up to you, that is mutibots are wellcome but not in anyway reqiured. the download link at the bottem of the post is the BASEPLATE that you must use, you may make the top plate whatever you like ie, wedge or HS. the rules are this:
1. all stock RA2 parts inclueding AI parts.
2. no AAM
3. if you cant AI your bot i can do it BUT i will check all .py to ensure that it dose not do anything the stock AI cant do, ie force push
any Q just ask, this is an 8 person tourny.

Good idea, if I have time (so, if the tourney takes place in..., say, two months), I will try it.
I think I'm going to make two MW multibots, just have to see your baseplate CUDA.
I don't even imagine the mess if someone enters 3 multibots... LMAO.
-
ok sounds good. i just need to get more people in on it then maby we might see a 3 LW team!!!!!!!
-
I'll do it.
-
Yep. Well I was thinking of that too when speaking of three multibots...
Then this'll be a HW tourney I think, or they'll be a lot of multibots if they don't like the HW chassis.
-
hold on let me clear this up. a mutibot is this. 2LW VS 1MW, 3LW VS 1HW, 2MW VS 1 HW
that way you can gang up a HW with 3 LW and it makes for a great match. i saw some guys do this when i was hanging out with them and the LW WON!!!!! in the tourny you must have 1 LW or you are not in it.
-
Well a big HW could be destroyed quite easily by three lightweight popups.
But a HW HS could maul them all... perhaps not three LW rammers... oh, not sure.
I must have a LW ?? Oops. Oh well, this seems logical. Alright i'll build one... but i definitely don't like very much LWs.
So, bassically, you could have, in order to enter this tourney:
-Three lightweights
OR
-Two middleweights and one lightweight
OR
-One of each weight (LW,MW,HW)
The only problem is that three lightweights (max weight near 745 kg) does not match a HW's 799.5 kg. And two 245kg lightweights are way heavier than a 395kg MW.
Must you exactly match the weight or it is good because of superior numbers?
-
no you dont have to match the wight cause of the fact that the game uses surface area to get the armor wight. i made these frames in a way that you have to much frame and space. this will help balance the wight classes.
-
... Right. I was thinking too the MW chassis was big, really big... at least i'll get more armor.
-
if you want to make the frames for the tourny thats cool with me i made those in like 2 sec. i think it might be a good idea realy.
-
how do you create multibots
-
it just means that instead of faceing a HW and a HW you make 2 seperate MW to fight it. or 3 LW and so on.
-
Yep. A team battle.
By the way you can theorically use multibots yourself ! because if you enter several human controlled bots you can control all of them. just be sure to use different keys for the controls of each bot.

So, bassically, you could have, in order to enter this tourney:
-Three lightweights
OR
-Two middleweights and one lightweight

But isn't better to make 3 bots combination like this:
-(LW,LW,LW)
or
-(LW,LW,MW)----> not(MW,MW,LW)
or
(LW,MW,HW)
