Tournaments General Ranking
« on: November 16, 2008, 01:50:10 PM »
I've come with a pretty much simple idea.

Keeping track of every builder's "scores" in ALL tournaments.

It should keep track of : total number of KO's/TKO's/WBP's your robots got in tournaments, but also total number of losses, as well as total number of matches won/lost.

If we begin with RAW, for me, it would be: 4 KO's, 1 TKO's, 0 WBP's, 4 losses, 2 matches won, 1 match lost.

Comments and criticism welcome.

I like this idea.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

This is cool, but it can't be just one person doing it. It will ahve to be multiple people, and I think that I would be willing to help because I always watch the vids. I think that we would need a separate website, or a big place to freely enter names and points, and it will count all AI tourneys, and that means that it will not count for things like ADDICT.

Ugh.  The BBEANS rankings are enough for me.

Whoever does this (if anyone), I would highly recommend finding some sort of way to automate the rankings (like you enter the data and it automatically formats everything) or else it would just be too bloated to manage.

This can be done easily with java... Even Gamemaker. Hmmm... I will work on a beta. All rankings and stats really are are just numbers, so an algebraic-algorithm can be created.

If it is started, any in progress tourneys shouldn't be counted (IMO). It should also be in points, but be in odd amounts so ties would be rarer.

Giga, this could even be done on an Excel spreadsheet i think.
Achievements:
BBEANS 6: What Shell Spinner? (2-1 - 3 KOs and 4 WBPs)
RAW 2: Smoke and Mirrors (1-0:2 KOs and 1 TKO)
Clash Cubes 3: Shortsighted Surgeon ][ (Finished 15th)
UK vs USA: The Matador (USA) (Eliminated Round 1)
