For your first tournament, the thread looks nice and clean. You may want a bit more clarification of whether there is a limit to updates on robots. Like, am I allowed to only make minor changes, major changes or send in a whole new robot?

I'll clarify in the main post, thanks. Can I vote in my own poll?

Yeah, you're gonna enter, right?  Plus, there's no way to tell who actually made each vote.

By the way, looks good and I will enter.  I notice you didn't specify how many people could enter, though.  Or can I just not read?

Yup. I haven't voted in the poll yet, though.

Yes, you can but always remember that the amount of 'Yes's - 1 will be the actual interest of the tournament from other people. You still only need 8 'yes's but I'd advise waiting until you accumulate a tad more before you request moving this to signups.

Once your tournament has at least half it's entry list size in 'Yes' votes (for example, 8 'Yes' votes for a 16 bot tournament), you can move to signups

Moving to Signups
It is your duty to add a poll to your discussion thread asking "Would you consider entering this tournament?"
Once the poll option "Yes" has at least half the entry list size in votes it becomes eligible for the Signups section.

I thought it was half the tournament size (so 4 in this case)?

I assumed your were going for the maximum as you haven't specified your tournament size of 8 entrants. Could you please amend the OP to reflect this?

Note, I might have to wait a couple weeks for signups, since I'm really busy IRL ATM. Does anyone have an opinion on the "No popups" rule?

Alright, I should have enough time to get this thing done now.

CHANGES:
- Changed arena from Ring to BBEANS V2
- Cemented "No popups" rule.

Am I allowed to go to signups, now?

Did I miss anything? Are there any changes you would like? This is my first tournament so I'd like as much feedback as possible.

This is now a signups topic and the rules quoted may not change. Have fun, you have 3 months :)

Thrackerzod has offered to give up his spot to 090901. I'm pm'ing him back to confirm, but assuming he is sure of himself, 090901 gets in.

Edit: Confirmed

you could bfe swap the skinned components to non-skinned components

Tried doing that, but I'm not sure what the file names of the skinned components are. I'll take another look @ it.

Edit: Went over it again, swapped the skinned component, still crashes my game.

let 09 do it
Title: Re: The Forge - Signups

Actually, I think 09's shouldn't be allowed since it uses custom components.  I know they are just re-skins, but that's in the rules, which should make the bot illegal.  I know it's the hosts call in the end, but I thought I should say something.  No offense 09.

Yeah, I'm still on the fence as whether to allow skinned components in any future tournaments I do, but the rules have already been set and I have no intentions of allowing them ot be bypassing. I'm sure 09 just skimmed the rules and didn't read the "no skinned components" rule
