Time for some actual competitive tournaments. I'm presenting mine: The Circut.
It'll be a round robin using stock BW to LW. I'll be casting the tournament rounds on my Twitch TV channel, possibly with commentary.
I'll also be allowing people to team up and enter a bot together.
Since it's a round robin, I'll be doing signups differently. No limits on entries, but the deadline is final. Even if you are a second late, it's not going in.
Rules: Old BBEANS Arena. Best of three. 2 Havok restarts unless intended. No Nasty pickle. Bots must show controlled movement.
Bans: Cheatbot components. All AI parts allowed. Normal stacking is allowed. BFE and AAM are explicitly banned, and Hax mode is banned with a nudge and a wink.

Moar Rulez!!! It sounds cool but what arena is it and what style of match.
-
*circuit

Sounds interesting. The last Round Robin tournament I can think of was Conraaa's Home and Away. You'll need some info about the arena, components available and match rules, though. Things like bracket style, match length, best of 3 or not, havok restarts, and so forth.

Done, I was debating Hax mode, so it's "banned" but not banned.
It's not like I can stop anyone if the stack on a secnd battery with it. It's their time, they are spending it wisely by saving on it.

So your rule system is "it's not cheating unless you get caught" and "loopholes are allowed if you can find one" ? Fits me.
Besides, how is this more competitive than other tournaments ?
-
Yay! A tourney that I might actually try!

A round robin means you fight every other opponent, removing unfair knockouts and curbing most RGR's. (Although it allows for longer RGR's in the first place.) I'd say it's fairly competitive.

i voted for bw
i mean really we havn't had a (good) stock bw tourney in forever
(also so s_m cant enter a "hurr 1wd controlled movment" bot)
-
Please let it be LW...
-
(also so s_m cant enter a "hurr 1wd controlled movment" bot)
Why does this say i can't?

dark void 2 and 18hs are lw and mw, i dont think youve shown any bw 1wd bots yet

They aren't hard to make though.

So.... what arena?
-
I think I would rather make a MW for this.
-
So.... what arena?
bbeans v1 the one w/out the flippers
-
I voted for MW, but I'd be happy with any of them. I'm just thinking RIW4 is approaching, and that's Stock LW as well. So there could be a bit of a clash there.
-
Stock MW?
:trollface

Doh, how'd I miss that?
