I'm bored, so I'll post my thoughts and predictions:

Tyrogue: Average 36-mace HS, but it has front armor which will definitely help against some of its opponents.

Unknown Identity 16: Well-armored, and seems to have enough weaponry, so how well it does will come down to how good its wedges are.

Iron Filings: Apart from the funky wedge extender work, it looks pretty well built.  'Tis a shame it lost already.

The Emergency Twins: If they're just ordinary wedges or flippers then they won't do well at all.  If they're popups then they actually have a chance at some of the competition.

MissingNo.: The same strengths and weaknesses as Revenge of Dr. Wham: Excels in offensive power but has low armor and speed.  If it actually has 4WD then it's a lot better.

Nuclear Fallout: I'm sure you all know about this already.  However, something weird happened a few weeks ago where it couldn't even get under Seism 13, even though I hadn't modified the bot at all in the past 6 months O_o.  Since then this has cleared up... at least I hope.

Halestorm 5: Nice armor configuration, and from what I've seen it has good wedges as well.  I look forward to facing this and seeing if it can become the new wedge god.

RY3NO: It failed in RAW 2, but now with 2 of them and less opponents it needs to focus on, it should fare better than it did before.

Chernobyl Mk. 4: Another 36 HS, and I can't think of much else to say.

Hot Wheels: Will definitely do well, but who knows?  It might meet some tough competition along the way.    ;)

Burned Alive: I like the design, but will get torn apart by any decent HS (which is pretty much all those in this tournament).

Shaver BX2: One of the more creative designs, but I've seen how it did in BTTB and I don't think it will do better here.

Nosferatu: I'll give credit to VB because VSs aren't entered in stock tourneys enough, but there's a reason why, and sadly that reason is evermore present in this tournament.

Generic Popup: It isn't as generic because a lot of popups nowadays have more front armor and little or no side armor.  Though if what Shishka said is true then it won't really matter.

Noodle's bot: One of the more heavily armored jugglers I've seen, but I'm not sure of the wedges.

Round 1 Match Predictions:

Nuclear Fallout over Chernobyl Mk. 4 - If Nuclear Fallout can easily beat the 36 HSs of BBEANS and Inf AI, then it shouldn't have trouble with this one.

Halestorm 5 over Noodle's juggler - The wedges on the juggler (can't remember the name but I'm sure it was given somewhere) don't look good from this point of view, and NFX has spent more time perfecting his wedges, so...

Hot Wheels over Generic Popup - From what SKBT said and because Pwn somehow always does well in tournaments.

Nosferatu over The Emergency Twins - Being a multibot is the only advantage the E-Twins have over Nosferatu; they don't like they will do enough damage, if at all, to it.

Tyrogue over RY3NO: Really unlucky matchup for JB, pitted against a 36 HS out of 14 other opponents that it had a much better chance of beating.

Burned Alive over Unknown Identity 16 - Burned Alive's wedges just look better to me.

MissingNo. over Shaver BX2 - I just don't trust the wedge on G.K.'s bot, but then again MissingNo.'s wedges look short enough that it might have a chance.

Challenge Record: 2 Wins - 2 Losses

And once again I will lose to Ounce >.<

Thats what I get for sending Chernobyl.

P.S., just so everyone remembers, thats the Chernobyl with the non-AGOD maces. Spins way faster, just that isn't enough though most likely to beat a popup like Ounce's. And my DSL bot is underpowered and outdated. I'm screwed here.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

yeah I know.. its nearly always the case in stock... it just takes some generic robot to rape the creative ones... though I have hopes after BFR duo beat AC once...

kinda why I build mostly in DSL now.. you can make more original robots that can take it to generic ones..

PREDICTIONS

Tyrogue: Nonstandard 36-HS with a ramplate. Will fail against the first good popup it meets.

UI16: The wedge looks like it's not good

Iron Fillings: One of my favorites, sadly not that good

J24: :SFTW:

Stagfish: It doesn't looks very good, but i might be wrong.

Nuclear Fallout: I'm going to guess it's good

Halestorm 5 : Depends on wedges.

RY3NO: Will fail again :trollface

Chernobyl MK 4: See Tyrogue.

Hot Wheels: Is that a winner I see ?

Burned Alive: My favorite bot design-wise, sadly not that good compared to others. I hope it fairs well still

Shaver BX^2: Will fail quickly

Nosferatu: Looks cool and good. Probable top 5

Generic Popup: Not generic with razors acting as wheelguards :P I'm going to guess it's the weapon rack but still... Depends of wedges, yet again.

What is a mulibot ?

Oh, and basically what it does: randomly jumps across the arena, gets bumped by the other bot, fails.

Hope it will at least fail in an entertaining way

I just don't trust the wedge on G.K.'s bot,

You may be suprised. It could outswedge most of the central wedges bots in BTTB.

Oh, and basically what it does: randomly jumps across the arena, gets bumped by the other bot, fails.

that was because other robots interfered with the smart-zones in Raw 2

in a 2 vs 1 situation they should flank other robots well.. except when facing generic HS robots..

It has the best wedges in all of stock, so of course it's good.

Disputed, although highly likely.

I never finished testing if TrippeR 7 did consistently outwedge it or whether the times it did were flukes. I think Nuclear Fallout is better, but I'm not sure.

Bah. One of these days I'll challenge you to a wedge battle, and WIN this time :P

I've never really got the hang of wedges in Stock, to be honest. I'll just be happy if I at least put up a fight.

I don't think Iron filings done too badly for a 3 month old bot that was made when I was just getting the hang of stock again xD (I shall have to rebuild it!:P)

On the subject of wedges, when someone said to me a while back in my showcase about the original Soulreaver (my first ever stock popup and the one in the top right of my sig) that grannies make wedges worse, I have yet to make a bot that consistently outwedges it D: Stock be weird, it be.

I know my wedges are sucky, and since most of this hinges on wedges that means I'm proper screwed.

Stock is essentially a wedge war. A popup with excellent wedges and well-placed armour is basically going to win.

And Sage says DSL sucks because of the so called "dominance" of wedges...

Excuse me while i laugh !

these is easily a larger range of wedge-less designs in DSL they can take down the best wedge robots..

I kinda grew tired of stock because so matter what original thing I built it would get raped by the best wedged pop up or HS (which you get to see a nice demo in this tournament)

Basically true. There's a greater variety of building techniques, seeing as how we have free roam with all the glitches and such, but it's kinda boiled down to armoured popups and 36HS, at least in the HW division. It's more or less a case of who can outwedge or outweapon the other.
