Personally I felt I was unluckiest but I guess we all feel that way about ourselves. (Seriously, I would have beaten my opponents if I hadn't got flipped right at he start. And his chassis was JUST too low)

Same here, I guess- I think had it not been for Pwn's swingy tail, I think I could have gotten him out- it kept swinging about and acting as a counterweight which kept him in the arena.

That's alright, then- when you didn't respond, I was a bit worried. But hopefully, we can now put the issue behind us,  move onto perhaps me getting my revenge in a future rep tourney (just remembered Dark Striker and Spitfire in US vs UK, actually   :laughing ), and us being friends again  :3

And I'm more or less where I was last time- second place in the rumble. Wonder where that puts me in the seedings for next time? I'm guessing either still fifth or sixth.

As bleeding always  :/

But I don't know how I've pretty much gone from third place to...this, pretty much.
Always dominating most of the melee, then losing in the home stretch due to unforeseen circumstances- that one opponent you don't initially suspect would have a hope of surviving in the melees, to which they then go on to win or take second.

That always seems to happen to me here, for some reason- all of my entries work excellently in testing and everywhere else but Replica Wars itself. A bit like Razer, almost.

But I won't let that phaze me- if I could win Replica Wars even once, that'd make the whole year on GTM worth it  :D

Easy.. competition level has moved at a faster pace then yourself..

I took a few months off from playing Stock and DSL and now im not even in touch with standards.. I think Nary will find the same if he trys to break back into things..

Though im happy things are like that.. its a good outlook for this game if you can fall behind after 2 months..

I think your trying a little harder to advance then George.. (No offense to him..)

Replica tournaments are no way to measure your competition status though.. they are more for enjoyment purposes.. it only takes someone load up a robot with a bunch of weapons and claim it as a replica to win (providing the robot isnt rejected)

Well, Misty The Wonderbot only had three weapons, but it still won. Corkscrew Two had six, but - in a cruel twist of fate - the entire disc was knocked off. =D It happened in testing a couple of times, so I can't really complain.

There is no Replica Wars 4 planned for a long time, I have like 3 tournament ideas in my head right now that I want to try.

OK then- all things considered, that's not a bad seeding. And that's a shame- when RW4 does come around however, I will most certainly enter.

For the time being however, I'll see if there's any other replica tournaments I could try my hand at- I've made some pretty good combat-efficient reps lately. With those, I'll try to gradually improve my skills.

Just a kind of spoiler

My next tournament will be realistic DSL MW (because that's the trend now), as many entries as possible, up to 3 per person. It will be run ARC style (divisions run round robin, most wins in each division advance to the semis)

Either one of those would be great- out of all the RW entries I submitted, Purse from Series 2 was the one I had the most trouble with- mainly in selecting a rep and laying its flipper out properly within the weight limit.

Nobody ever said your rep had to be a flipper. I entered horizontal spinners in both Replica Wars that I entered, and I made the finals with both of them. 360 wasn't even invertible. =] Maybe if you branched out with your designs a little bit more, that would help a little.

I didn't say I had to, but I was saying that I more had problems in trying to make the weapon look like the real thing with the weight.

And yes, I noticed. Like a reversal of fortune, almost- you came out of nowhere to get to the finals the first two times, whilst I took third in my first one, only to fail in my next two due to getting cherry-tapped at the end.

Maybe flippers aren't that suited to 4-way rumbles. Too much chance of them being taken out from behind. Mind you, I will admit that I had a certain amount of good luck on my side during my run. I think my bad luck comes whenever I end up building a robot with wedges.

OK- I guess yours was the better case to explain role-reversal, really. But even still- even to get to the finals would have been great, even if I didn't win. Even if to make up for lost ground on S_M taking me out.

Well, it certainly didn't do Vert any harm in Rep Wars, though- that knowledge, combined with my tradition of entering flippers, is what I tend to pin my hopes on.
And for most of the fight, it works well- both times I pretty much dominated my second-round melees (in both cases taking out opponents by flipping them OOTA) , but then ended up getting cherry-tapped by the lucky one you'd least expect to win.

Although I think from what I remember, you and I more wore them down as you took out one, and I got rid of Badnik- then I think Hazard used the damage Purse took from all of the other robots to ultimately KO it.

1) Indeed, but it's still a fair sight better than the average replica flipper.

2) Either way is fine- it's just that rumbles tend to be more exciting. Yet, I'm OK with 1-on-1 fights, if that's what you want   :approve:
