Robot Wars Virtual (RW Season 8) - Discussion
« on: July 25, 2011, 07:08:23 AM »

After huge amount of thinking, I want this to be official tournament, and not unofficial. Lemme rewrite the rules here...
- Tournament will be Stock.

- Weight class will be Middleweight. Robot must weight atleast 350 Kilos, and Maximum weight is 400 Kilos.
- Robots must be built Realistic.
- No Custom or Cheat components.
- All game glitches are forbidden, and Text file editing too.
- DSA (Double Strenght Aluminium) Glitch is Forbidden.
Battle Rules are following:
- Battles will be 3 Minutes, Arena will be Robot Wars Arena.
- If you lose, You're out.
- Battles are 1 vs 1.
How many entries there are so far?

And I know, This is badly described. So my bad.

No DSA? You do know that all the Stock AI has some kind of Double Strength armor, right?

Realistic... Well, I guess I'll do this just for kicks. If everyone else is being restricted, it evens out anyway.

Are you accepting more than 1 replica per person?  I can give you several if you don't mind that some of them are a little outdated.

Actually Vert Jonzu has a point; I'm going to have to dig deep through the replicas that are as much as 5 years old to get you some stock ones; most of them weren't very good but a few standouts exist.  If this tourney gets voted through, I'll send you the ones I'm happy with and let you be the judge.

There's also some newer ones that could be retrofitted with stock parts (this entails changing TWMS for RAD's and hoping that the stock batteries fit)

It doesn't have to get voted through. I've hosted already over 3 Tournaments.

Right, I forgot which one of you had mentioned "bad replicas."  Anyways, Jonzu is it ok if some replicas are underweight?  Top of my head, most of them are ok, but replicas of lightweights like Wedgehog and Demolisher will clearly be below 300.

What could be the best amount of Robots & Heats?

12 Heats, 8 Robots in one = 96 Bots.
16 Heats, 6 Robots in one = 96 Bots.
16 Heats, 8 Robots in one = 128 Bots.
