Title: Robot Rampage Series 1
Post by: Dragonfire on August 06, 2008, 03:56:45 PM: In light of BBEANS4, i had a fury of building MWs, so now i have used all of them to effect.
I have created a internet TV show - like Robot Wars and Battlebots - in DSL as a simulation. This is the official launch with the promotion video:

For next season, it will expand, so i am asking for anyone to build me some MWs if they can spare some time. If you can upload your bot to GTM file uploader and PM me the link. ALL bot s are AI-ed so you can give me the bindings code but it is optional.

Anyways, even if it is original and has more "flipping area", a small mechanic study tells that most of the flipping power is lost compared to a classic flipper.

That's why CB won. TDB was cool, but just couldn't win.

Funny thing is that most of the match results are predictable.

Black Knight is a heavy armored rammer. Turbine was a HS with light armor and problems with stability, and BK has more durability in it's weapons..

Rammers generally have the edge against HS.

still, Code Breaker is at the same level than Ripterra, Big'n'Beefy has less than substantial armor, Buckaroo is very tall for a flipper and not wedgy.

But i must say that the ones I sent weren't very very good... i won't be an ass and enter HazCon, but will build another i think.

But the music of that last fight is... well, awesome.

agreed, DragonForces stuff is good but all their songs sound the same, i mean take TTFAF and Operation Ground and Pound's choruses, they both have the words "so far away" in them! :roll:

I want them all lower, so that the orbit cam will be higher up, so it would be easier to see the action.

Round 1 - 16 bouts of 3 bots
Round 2 - 16 bouts of 2
Round 3 - 8 bouts of 2
Final - Riot Round of 4

Also along side, there will be support fights, in case the Robot Rampage battles aren't enough!

Don't expect absolutely killer bots - i went for originality on this one (they're still decent)

I must build the third, then AI them - it will be done this weekend, DF.

Very true. Not everyone knows how to do it, so like Somebody said, people who do will have an unfair advantage.

perhaps in the time he took to learn bot file editing you built the seven bots? you don't have the chance because you took your time in building bots, not messing with their numbers. you had just as much of a chance as he did. so he had the time to make seven bots, but instead learned .bot file editing. for you it is vice versa.

i would but unfortunatley AIing is a mystery to me so i couldn't host and i dont know which bots didn't make it unless DF sends them which he is too busy to do.

If this tournament is going to go ahead i need someone to AI entries and someone to teach me how to get the entries to fight each other in an arena beacuse i'm only a newbie but since i know DragonFire very well i will host the tournament, i just need to learn that one thing.

@Somebody: He had too much to do and unfortunatley, RA2 got in the way of exams and stuff so he had to leave.
