RA2 World Cup 2014 SBV

I know i haven't been around too much lately and I had to cancel my last tournament, but Im no longer so busy and I have time to run this tournament So I present to you, The 2014 RA2 World Cup!

It Will be ran kind of like the world cup itself with the groups and knockout stages. Ill get to the rules in a second here.


Format)
1.DSL HW IRL 799.99 weight limit
2.4 groups of 4 so 16 entries in all. All robots will fight one another in the group so 3 fights guaranteed
3.Top 2 from each group advance to the knockout phase based on the points system
4.Knockout phase is single elimination 8 robot bracket based on a random draw (with a third place match)
5. Robot who wins the knockout phase is declared world champion.


Points system
1. A win will give you 3 points (even if it is forced to a judges decision)
2. A loss by knockout, OOTA, immobilization will result in 0 points
3. A loss by points at the end of time is 1 points
4. once again top 2 teams of each group advance


Rules etc etc
1. DSL HW IRL 799.99 weight limit
2. Arena is a skinned tournament arena
3. 1 entry per person
4. 2 minute matches
5. will be filmed with ZD soft
6. If it goes the distance the bot with the most points will win
7.No glitches narmour, DSA, BFE, etc
8. Only IRL bot types
9. multi bots are allowed (it doesnt matter how much each weigh but the total must not exceed 799.99)
10. two judge burst max

Anyway, let me see who we have here:

Tunnel Gator: Interesting idea, let's see how it will do.

Steel of San: It looks okay at best.

Snugglebot Mollosia Edition: The design reminds me of Nyx2 or MinNyx honestly.

Crocbot: Maybe I should've gotten off my lazy ass and put a USA flag on the bot.

Schoop 2: Why are those flamethrowers set up like that?

Darlene: I don't think the flippers in the back will do any good.

RTL Evo: Seen this one before in RA2 World Championship. Not much to say.

Above and Beyond: I can't think of anything to say about this one.

Jellybean: Seen this one before as well man.

The Excvator: Unique since it's the only drill bot here.

Flame War: Again with re-entering these bots people...

Bird of Prey III: Nice design there.

Anti Gravity 3.8.1: I have no clue what those wing thingys on the back are supposed to be for.

Death Cloudis: Totally not Oizys It looks okay I guess.

Drug Enhanced Watermellow: More lazy re-entries. Can't say too much else them.

Axelon: Pretty cool looking entry, not the best though.

Overall, We have some okay entries here. Who knows how this will go. Good luck to y'all!

Well death cloudis was always meant to be Oizys, should have remove some ants for some skirts.

For the record, the axes are anti havoks. If the weapons get fubared, they will havok less.Thats the plan, but it will not happen.
My thoughts on my group: Senstro thankfully used scoops, making sure that it dosent do much damage. Im hoping my wedges will beat him out, but if they dont, i can expect a win by points if i get a few flips in. Nategreat could be a problem, if those forks are low clearance. As for craaig, I have no idea. I can flip him over, but if he breaks part of the flippers then its goodbye me. Then again, if it just goes straight on, ill be able to put his drill on my armour plates, and he will be ruined as those things give me time to fling him into space.

Well dang. Andrew found my greatest weakness, my GC. Gonna have to fix that in a future event. Good match though, my next 2 opponents look easy enough.
