Nah, its cause of the slowness in entries and the fact that a lot of people here build mostly IRL bots in DSL. Although the skin made me lol.

I decided, in an attempt to make this tournament more interesting, to add a losers bracket. Basically the 12 bots to lose the trials will head down to the losers bracket and it will continue similar to the normal bracket (KoTH, Trialbot, etc.). At this point there will be 3 bots in the Losers Bracket final; the last spot will be taken by the first bot to lose in the original bracket's semi-final and the winner of the losers bracket faces off against the winner's bracket winner.

Granted this will potentially take a bit longer to do but its been something that's been on my head since the last trials and would like to see how this plays out. Also this tournament is known for causing a fair amount of unexpected surprises (marty vs NFX to name one) and it seems fair to give some of the competitors some sort of second chance.

I'd also like to clarify once more; IRL and Standard bots are both allowed. The rules only state "DSL 2.1 Middleweight, so both bot types are allowed here. I know its no Battlebots or BBEANS but its supposed to be interesting and challenging that way

Also again expect the removal of weapon exceptions for the next trials, I kinda regret leaving that there lol.

TL;DR - There's a losers bracket. Signups are slow and there's 10 spots left so please join. DSL and IRL bots accepted here.

I think what he means is, does the Winner of the loser bracket have to win twice against the winner of the winners bracket to be.champion

The trialbot looks too sturdy for sharkbite and sleak swimmers weaponry, and I can't do standard

Well signups have been open for over a month and I'd really like to start this as soon as I can before I have to go back to university in august since that'll take up a lot of my time, I'd try to finish it if it did come to that but it would most likely take a lot longer for me to do so.
