Right, also when I said "destroyed", it also means if the trialbot falls off first, which it did, so it depended on points, 090901 got most points on the trials and advanced to the FTTF.

There's a massive bunch of very average bots in that tournament...

But why do i see NAR AI skinned Piglets and a Dragon CO2 out of 029 LB's bot ? Is that you're actually running the tournament in v2.2 or what ?

OK, here are my predictions!
Bubbleman: Non invertability and weapons with normals will kill it.
S_M: Really good, not very destructive-looking but should pack a punch.
090901: Tough-looking HS, fast as well
Naryar: Of course it will go far, it's Naryar!
G.K. Too fast for my liking, underweaponed as well.
Resetti: looks like a tough gut ripper, weak armor and weapons with normals will cause it problems.
Stag: Nice bot for a sub-par builder, fast but could oversteer OOTA.
027: Uses a custom PY, not too fast though so probably won't win.
STC: Cool drum bot, drive is kind of exposed though
Shishkabot: Fast, see Stag for the rest of my prediction
Zog:  :SFTW
TX:Another  :SFTW
Thyrus: Not bad, could use grippier wheels
Me: I like this bot, should go far
Sparkey: the third an final  :SFTW
123STW: Another good bot, wedge killers FTW

PREDICTIONS Rants !:
 
Robo Crusha: It quite fails in weapon and armor depts IMO. Should need a wedge as well.
WPCTS: It's... big ? weird ? (And totally not a 123 style build). I think it has potential.
Illusion: Not exactly fitted for this tournament... Also what's the point of these trappers ?
Razorback v3: BEST BOT EVAR It is quite awesome in wedginess but average in sheer weapon power. I should also send a new py for this (it's both invertible and has a working srimech but currently doesn't drives inverted if the srimech breaks), and have probably good chances. Just hope it doesn't fails because of some stupid driving error or push the opponent OOTA but get eliminated first...
Myriad v2: Drive is completely overkill for a MW HS. With no wedges it'll probably go OOTA easily.
Plastic Peril: Skirt hinge wedges are outdated, plus the weapons have normals and it doesn't looks invertible. Can't see this fairing well.
Shep*h*erd:  It's actually not bad at all and one of the bots i am worried about, and while missing in sheer damage can fair well - still i think it's too fast for such arenas (and i won't consider Stag a sub-par builder also, Badnik)
Green With Envy: It might be a cool design, but in no way is this really combat-efficient.
Anti Eye Candy:  It's not too bad... but nothing more really.
Rama Slana: Another decently built bot that might be too fast and not wedgy enough.
Junky:  Excuse me sir... but WTF exactly are you doing ???
Is That So ?: Yet another bot with Piglets for drive !!! Plus th e weapon quite fails as well...
Forward to Death:  Weapon is unsufficient, and it has no wedges, as well as a bad wheel choice. Really the building level is quite low in this tournament in overall...
Rockstar: I question the choice of a VS in such a tournament, but it' quite well built, fast and looks like it has really good wedges. Am unsure about the weapon setup though.
Neptus DSL Drum: What kind of unskilled builder puts such a complete failure of a weapon on his bot ? It has metal hinges though, and that gives it a chance of getting one win or more on unwedged/too fast bots (see GK)
Clockwork IV:  123's bot = very nice build. Now can this outwedge me ?  :evilsmile:

well Sonny when a man and a woman love each other very much normals mean a weapon can only do damage at a particular point

case example: pole spike will damage at the sharp tip only, razor tip will damage at any point of the component. this normally makes weapons without normals better.

lurk in the text files (they are set in there) or follow these 5 easy steps

1) put a weapon your unsure of on a robot
2) post the robot in a showcase
3) wait and see if anything regarding normals is yelled out at you
4) make mental note
5) never use the weapon again for fear of more rage posts

the points you got on both trials will be summed up and the one with the most points wins, but that rule about "if you fall off,you're eliminated" is really making the point of the tourney less noticeable. What was I thinking when I made that rule??  :confused:

You probably won't believe me but,

I specifically built my bot so that it could still win even with its weapons broken.  I put it through hours of testing against destructive bots.  Shame about Badnik though, I was really interested to see how my bot would do against his.  If it's any consolation, you can count on my vote for BTSHDBBDDTBL,

assuming I spelled that correctly.

I havent followed this enough to know the going on but.....

remember the rules were clearly stated at the start and you all agree on them when you submit your entry therefor you pretty much have to accept the results.. no rage posting or criticizing since you knew that was how it was ran.

The finals is already up for download. I hope you all enjoyed the many upsets and razor guy runs this tournament has had. RA2 Trials 2 might start sometime next month and a few rules might change. The awards thread will be up in a little while.
