The Replica Wars arena is like the DSL Arena but with no hazards.

On the multibots rule, you should make it so there has to be a link between the bots. Like plusle/minun. Or Nidoran M and Nidoran F.

Nice idea, done :D

Yeah, I'll be checking them over very much for cheapness - it's gonna be strict, but I feel that'll make it more fun and more competitive to find effective designs.

Now I am going to have to figure out how on earth to make porygon.
Or Rhyhorn.
Or Beedrill.

DSL HW again?

Oh no! It's almost as if that's not the fairest weightclass/mod to use for something like this! (LW/MW too light, SHW gives too much freedom, Stock doesn't have enough components. Add to that, in the end, it's my choice. :3)

Also, can't wait to see your Gyarados, Nary ;D

I've decided I'm making a SFTW-esque Porygon crawler.

If someone could make it have a MEGA SEIZURE-KUUUUN attack, that'd be sweet.  :trollface

Remember it must look like porygon, not a porygon shape with crawler (disc/mace) wheels.

RULES ADDED:
-In signups, you MAY send your Pokemon at separate times, however you may NOT overwrite any previously accepted entries
-If your first Pokemon is denied entry, you have 1 chance to update it. If it is not accepted second time, then you may not enter it. If you already have one or two Pokemon accepted, any denied Pokemon cannot be updated. This includes if all 3 are sent at once, and the first one I see gets accepted.

(Apologies for the complex rules, however with the 3 entry system with qualifying and picking your entry later on, I feel it's necessary)

I know that, and it DEFINATELY is a Porygon. Got the head and everything...

Only one problem: Can I enter two Porygons? Mine's drastically underweight (About 660) and I cannot think of a thing to add to it.

No. Sorry. XD

EDIT: Forgot a cheatbot2 rule - those parts aren't allowed unless specifically asked for and accepted in either this thread or the signup thread.

AWESOME example. I'm sure you can beef it up? ;D

EDIT: Just realised what you were trying to say with the '660kg' thing, I thought you meant it was 660kg - you can enter 2 of those as it doesn't breach weight regulations, as I thought you were implying.

Nary should enter his Seaking as a multibot.

Question: Since both of the porygons are walkers, can I use 600KG for each bot, thanks to the walker's improved weight limit?

No, that would give a total weight of 1200kg. It's all about combined weight.

No, that would give a total weight of 1200kg. It's all about combined weight.

So, am I allowed 500KG per part?

Also, what is the maps for the half-sheet, side panels, flipper maker parts and Hex Plates?

Yes, 500kg for each multibot if they're walkers. As for the maps, just search around. Hex Plates were really easy to find, if I remember right (from Dugtrio).

Looks sweet. Make sure those reskins don't overwrite the ordinary DSL components and are separate components.

After realising I was going completely mad with all the complex rules, everything's been simplified a little over on the rules page. :)

Bisharp is like the perfect pokemon for this.
But Pwniard is easier to build.

Hey craaig, I had an idea.

I know it's a bit late for submitting, but why not some new one:

Pokemon stats must be somehow according to robot stats - Attack means the damage potential of the robot, HP/Defense means the armor, Speed... etc.

AKA, you can't build a Gyarados nor Aerodactyl bot with too much armor, a Rattata bot should be quick and damaging but frail, a Snorlax bot should be a Mighty Glacier, a Blissey should be very armored or tough but not very damaging nor fast, etc...

I built a Mawile once, but it always fell over.  Would it be cool if I added some sheets or extenders or whatnot to balance it?

Also, can my Lethal Swan replica count as "based on" that Swan Pokemon? (I'm not familiar with the Gen. 5'ers yet, I realize that puts me at a slight disadvantage)
Title: Re: Pokemon: The League of Getehem

Nary: Maybe, if I run PKMN2 :3

S_R: For Mawile, sure, I know you'll make it look great no matter what, but as for Swanna (I had to Google it :P) I'm not sure, I'd prefer if they weren't like 'based on', if you know what I mean.

Can I be allowed to make an HS out of Cofagrigus (the arms spin)? because the four arms just made me think "Bar HS".

Dun worry it won't be overpowered or anything and and it will have real-looking arms :P
Title: Re: Pokemon: The League of Getehem
Post by: cephalopod on September 29, 2011, 02:38:11 PM
1) Would it look real?
2) Does Cofagrigus have 4 big bars that hinge in the middle for arms?

:P
Title: Re: Pokemon: The League of Getehem
Post by: Badnik96 on September 29, 2011, 02:43:17 PM
it's pretty close...

and yes it would look as real as possible. If I could I'd make it an SnS but you barred it in the rules :P
Title: Re: Pokemon: The League of Getehem

I was going to try cofagrigus... I was going to make the front 2 arms scoops with translucent extenders holding them to the body.
But a hs is cool too.

and of course Pwniard will be another bot I'm gonna make...

Post by: cephalopod on September 29, 2011, 02:54:43 PM
I very nearly banned HS too, cos I know people will get anything and just make it has spinny arms.
In my personal opinion, I'd prefer everything worked the way it does on the actual pokemon. No extras. In which case Cofagrigus would be upright with hammer/scoop arms, which would be difficult XD

Title: Re: Pokemon: The League of Getehem
Post by: cephalopod on September 29, 2011, 03:16:02 PM
Hitmontop would work as a HS, yes. Examples like that are why I left HS open. But remember, with Hitmontop you got the balance on that top spike ;p

raeg

you suck :P

in that case I am dependent on Pwniard. (no that is not a typo)

Can i make Electrode and give it flamethrowers to make it look like it's constantly exploding (which is basically what Electrode does anyway)?

Sure XD NOW you're thinking. :3 Although exploding when it comes into range would be better, which would also make sense for air reserves too. :)

hovercrafts plus flying guillotine flails plus tons of tall robots equal damage and winning

although it won;t be THAT good, just good enough to get past the awesome bot sensors XD
