And Df gave a replica of a Bass drum spinning sound waves of death. What's your point? :P

You gave a replica of a cake weapons...

You gave a replica of a car sledgehammers. Go figure.

Freeziez and SD are the only people who made replicas or real life things without using weaponry.

If you're even debating this, let's point out the SNS marketed as a 'Hammer', triangular chassis'd flipper passed off as 'Cheese', and the box with wheels and a million spikes named a 'Cardboard Box'.

How the Sheckder has this occurred over a joke entry, that wasn't intended to win anything, that has the biggest chassis in the world and a few spinning teeth. It's actually physically beyond me.

I was mainly referring to DF and NFX. Do you see a spinning ring on most cakes? NO Are static metal parts used on F1 cars? YES
All I'm saying is people were adding stuff to "give my bot a fighting chance" rather than to "make by bot look better".
Better than GK since 2009.

But what else could the ring around the cake look like other than hypno teeth? Craaig just wanted to make something oversized and cool-looking.

And dude, simmer down, you still didn't have that great of a bot.

I think the weapons were intended to be the plate the cake was sitting on.

What colour is the ring? Does the ring have a strange kind of bumpy shape?
I actually added those teeth to make it look more like the original, or I would've used a decent weapon, like sledgehammers. (lol)

I was pointing out that lots of entrants simply added weapons for the sake of weaponry. The ring didn't have to spin, then I would cave no issue with those hypno teeth as they would clearly be for decoration. I am neither saying saying it was unfair, not complaining, just pointing out why I myself have noted.

I NEED CAPITALS TO MAKE A POINT

Although you're sort of right, it would probably be harder for the bot to move if it was static.

You created the "controversy" seeing as I just said winning was about adding weapons to bots. I made no negative comments about it being "unfair". I don't particularly want to argue but also so not wish this to end with everyone thinking I created some big arguement because of my comments.

To be honest, there was actually a lot less 'weapon spamming' in this than i thought there would be.  And most of the weapons CAN be justified with a bit of creativity, Pummel Bass's 'soundwaves', Lapshades could be seen as tassles etc.  All in all, they stayed within both the rules AND the spirit of this.  This was about making a bot that looked either like it was something else, or was a bot made from something else.   Think of an IRL bot that uses, say, a television as it's chassis.  They're going to add weapons to it and such like that. Hence, why "Oh hai, robots" in the promo vid had that spinner on top.

The only bot in this that I feel kinda broke the spirit was the cardboard box.  I just feel he took a rammer, popped a skin on it and called it a day.

Anywho's, expect the Grand Finals to be up within a day or two.  And, depending on how long it takes, I might have a special little extra thing for you guys, for a few extra laughs.
Survival of the Fittest Is Finished!  Congratulations 090901
