Hybrid type : Hammer/Sawbot
Strengths : High DPS... maybe ?
Weaknesses : Hybrid synergy is a joke
My opinion : Clearly it is the greatest hybrid ever. Hammer/Sawbot, who would have thought ?

Weaknesses : It's a hammer, can't self-right

MassimoV - Naryar Gets His Act Together
Hybrid type : Juggler/Angled FS
Strengths : Good looks, originality
Weaknesses : Maybe not the best weapon synergy
My opinion : It looks awesome and I love it. Though as said, it may not be the best weapon setup.

S.T.C. - Sesame Street Is No Place For Me
Hybrid type : Pusher/Poker
Strengths : Good damage and defence, also razors
Weaknesses : Low air supply
My opinion : It is definitely a solid build, maybe the most all-around build of all the tournament.
Could have been more original, but clearly aiming to win. It will probably fair well.

Craaaig - The Camo Camel
Hybrid type : FS/Side Hammer
Strengths : Good damage potential
Weaknesses : Questionable hybrid choice
My opinion : Well, I know Craaig's mind is odd sometimes, but FS/side hammer ? I hope it is a stroke of genius.
It also looks a bit "herp derp herpity derp". But we need an oddball entry, after all.

Virus Bomb - World Subjugator
Hybrid Type : Angled Juggler/VS
Strengths : Manly name, awesome looks, deadly design... need I say more ?
Weaknesses: Not invertible
My opinion : It's my favorite. Look at it's braggart name and aggressive styling and h0ybrid choice ! Is it not concentrated fury and bloodlust ? Gaze upon the face of your doom !

Helloface - Dubs, Check 'Em
Hybrid Type: Popup/Wammer
Strengths : Razors, also pretty interesting design
Weaknesses: Can't self-right, poor defense
My opinion : The seemingly obvious SFTW of this tournament is actually... interesting. It reminds me of Phil's Big Love in a good way.
Also it may just cause some upsets if it's wedge is good, especially against all the other wedges.

AI is done, all the bots now fight correctly. Have had a few fights already, it seems my game lags quite a bit... I will probably fine-tune the AI this evening, expect the first videos tomorrow !

Except Marty's bot who STILL crashes my game when I select it in Import Robot for some reason. So it's not a component issue.

So there's a free slot now. SIGNUPS ARE NOW OPEN AGAIN (and henceforth continuing the tradition of my tournaments having trainwreck signups) First come, first serve.

Most round 1 videos are filmed. Though apparently Windows 8 doesn't come with Windows Movie Maker.


Also... mr. AS sent me a bot three minutes before you sent me back the working version...

I said "first come first serve" but marty was here and it was just a name error.

I really don't see how this is marty's fault at all, considering how in the signups thread it seems you never notified him that his bot wasn't working or anything and I could have sworen he sent you and old working version of the bot, so why couldn't you have just used that then...

The AS vs Marty preliminary fight is filmed and the video is done... now to put it over youtube.

There was an issue about spikeball mode, but it didn't affect the outcome of the match.

I assumed you were alright with the battle with AS, why didn't you said "no I am not OK with this" before I posted the video ? It's not like I posted it immediately after my decision of making you guys fight for the spot.

Besides you sent me that bot far after AS sent his, and I did call "first place goes". However 09 sent your fixed version close to AS's bot, so I decided to give you a chance.

It doesn't matter. If the preparations aren't finished then you shouldn't start.

I wouldn't bake a cake and go "Well herpy derpy doo, I don't appear to have any eggs, but I'll just continue anyway." and then put the mix in the oven, then crack the eggs into the mix while it's in the oven. That's just retarded.

If you want a tournament to be good, you don't just assume that the quicker it gets out the better it'll be. The tourney might take a long time to fill up, but if when the SBV thread is made everything is there, all the splashes are good, the brackets are finalised well, and all the robots are ready to go, then people will then be of the opinion that "Hey, this guy knows what he's doing. Man, I'm not excited about this tournament again."

That's not what is going on here. Sort it out.

Also round 2 brackets (well, more like 2 fights) will be posted this evening after I film World Subjugator vs Bokfresh (AS's bot). Since I will not be able to upload the video this evening (due to sh**ty macdonalds internet connection), I will make sure to spoiler the winner's name in it.

Then I will post round 2 tomorrow, and probably the finale as well. Then you will be able to request rumbles or grudge matches.

Honestly, considering I said I would do it in 2 days and I didn't I would accept a ban.

Now just to edit the vid and post the finals. I'm not very happy with these finals as well, there are much cheap wins in there. Mostly pinning related.

But no seriously that was a pretty weak final. Both of Naryar's wins were from pinning. You probably should have done best 3 of 5/4 of 7.
