Forgot to say I will ask for minimum building skill and combat efficiency. Although if your bot is original and/or awesome enough, I think I will let it pass even if it's not very efficient.

I may go 2x1 minimum height with 3 ant batts.

Should be able to choose between two types, because a 2x1 chassis with 3 ants is effectively banning a lot of bot types (flippers, popups etc). Unless of course this is the idea- but then this might as well be a spinner only tourney- though again this depends on where you put those multis :P

I don't think so. He means there will be a benchmark building skill that you must reach to be eligible, I think.

And it sounds like a pretty good idea, in my view, I might give this a try, see if I can make something out of it.

How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

Forgot to say I will ask for minimum building skill and combat efficiency.
...you mean maximum right?

I am asking for a minimal level in building skill and combat efficiency in the bots, aka no SFTWs. Like in NAR AI, where these bots will go anyways.

And the whole point of the tournament is starting from an already-built chassis and add stuff.

As 2 ants is too restrictive and 4 ants is only worth it on certain bots, i'm gonna go, it's gonna be a simple, small rectangular chassis with 3 ants, 2 ME's and 1 control board, of course.

Gonna change a few rules, and add one.

oh right, i got a bit confused on what you meant.

also what if we had 2 chassis' to choose from? like one with 2 ants and another with 3 or a completely different shape

Changed the rules. And nope, the goal is that everyone must use the same chassis.

There is quite a bit of customization that you can do inside it however.

Also, the robot awards at the end will mostly be based on actual data rather than people voting, such as the bot that dealt the most damage per fight (not in total, else the champion gets all the stuff) in points. There will be community votes as well, but other awards.

I intend to put robot statistics, in fighting infocards, and update them each match. These stats will earn the bot awards. As long as the bot isn't out of the competition

Good awards :All of the awards, excepted for community, depend on a "number of X/number of matches fought" ratio. The guy with the largest ratio wins.

Best Fighter : This one is about the number of matches won. The overall winner is the Grand Champion, second best is... Second Best, third best is Bronze Award, and fourth best is Not Bad At All.
Heavy Hitter : Largest hit
Trail of Bloodshed : Largest number of KO's
The Paralyzer : Largest number of immobs
Slow and Steady : Largest number of WBP's
Flawless Victory : Largest number of matches won without chassis damage to self
Fatality ! : Largest number of 1HKO's
Behemoth : Largest damage in total

Neutral awards

I can see my house from here ! : Largest height attained (also known as the Sky-High award)
Acrobat : Largest number of flips (in any direction). The bot must make several flips.
c : Highest speed attained (by havok or none)

Bad awards

We hardly knew ye : Bot eliminated the fastest.
Harmless : Bot that dealt the least damage.
Unfit for Battle : Bot that did not won any match.
Havok bomb : Bot that havoked the most.

Community awards: these will be done on voting.

Most Fearsome Opponent : bot that scared you the most
Razor guy award : bot that was not thought to be good but actually was
SFTW award : worst bot
Epic Fail Moment : Bot that got eliminated so spectacularly it was memorable.
Disappointment award : Opposite of the razor guy award
Coolest Paintjob
Coolest Design
Most Original
Screwed by Fate (aka BTSHDBBDDTBL)

"No bots that do unrealistic damage"
No flails?
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

No flails?

As long as the axles do not get out of their socket, flails are fine.
