RULES
.Custom MW
.Any realism is allowed (IRL, DSL, and Unrealistic)
.No multibots
.BFE and AAM are outlawed
.Hax mode and all other ingame glitches are allowed
.1-on-1 3-min Death Matches
.Single Elimination Brackets
.If a bot Havoks it gets ONE free restart, after that the bot will be eliminated (These are major Havoks)
.If a bot is so fast that it drives out of the arena (through the walls) then that will count as a havok
.Cheatbot2 parts ARE allowed
.If a match is ended by time, the bot with more points advances to the next round
.I can AI, but I would like to find someone who could AI for me (as I suck at AIing)
.No Cheaty AI's
.Yet to decide on arena, would like it you guys gave me some ideas
.NO updates, at all
.32 Entrants as a Max

I was thinking about letting there be robots from LW, MW, and HW squaring off agaisnt one another. (Due to the custom components)

I think it is pretty original, and like the idea myself.

But as I said before, this tournament WILL most likely be unbalanced. So no bawwwing about that, i will make sure of it. Unless preytor has balanced his components somehow, but that I doubt.

Also Preytor, you'd better give only components that DON'T crash the game if you click on them. If they do, the only way to put them into your bot is BFE/AAM, and these are banned. So it's basically utterly useless, but even detrimental, to put these game-crashing components in.

Make sure all of the components of your component pack work.

Are we supposed to know what components don't work ? Are we supposed to download components we don't need ? Are we supposed to bother looking at all the components and waste our time seeing what components crash the game because you didn't provided a list ? Are we supposed to think you're lazy for not wanting to remove components from your pack, an endeavor who should take much less time if you do it than if everyone does it ?

At the very least, provide a way to see what components crash the game or not so we can avoid crashing our games over 9000 times, or just remove them (that will probably take less time than adding ingame comments like I suggested earlier). I don't feel like downloading a larger package partly made of components who crash my game, without me knowing of it.

Well most components that crash usually have no preview, but there are some without previews that don't crash. But I'm bored so I'll go see which crash.

I can't delete components if I don't know what they are and if there is a second copy of said component.

Surpisingly there weren't that many crashing components. (In the normal game. If use cheatbot2, figure it out yourself)

Also, should I just post the link to the components now? Or wait?

Badnik has earned 50% warning for continuing to BAWWWWW about calvinbot even after being told to shut up about it, and sparking a (small may it be) flame war, as well as spamming the thread. It's still a very minor flame war, so no ban for him.

Umm, just a note, I'm experiencing errors with the components in that when there is a list of components (like how Spike Strips, razors, irons, pointy tips are grouped together in DSL 2.1) I can only select the top component on the list. Is this happening to anyone else?

I forgot to put some .cfz files in, so some components are missing. Maybe that will fix your problem.

I basically work to make this board cleaner and you BLAME me for it, because supposedly GK is the tournament moderator.

So ? Do you think I will be offended if another mod goes to moderate in the showcases while I am not here, unless he does his job badly ? Do you think he will blame me if I do some work in his area ? Nonsense !

Now if you want to be constructive, tell me if you care about that tournament. When I will have enough info from other people i will remove this thread, or let if live if people are interested.

I'm just trying to clean up this part of the forum and you go and complain how i'm not supposed to mod here. Be constructive or don't post.

And i am GLOBAL moderator, means I can moderate there as well. Hell one hour before the battlebots 5 thread was still in the signups subforum, while the tournament was finished !

Note the difference between actually being angry and letting it show in your post and posting aggressively and giving the impression of being angry. I was doing the second one.

Also, nice switch to defensive mode there.

Well, I think it's time to just end this. I have no motivation to film, my screen recorder sucks so even if I did it would be horrible, and this tournament has failed. I see no reason for me to continue this, so Naryar or GK, simply do whatever you usually do and I will (sadly) take a ban. Maybe someday I'll host tournaments again.
