Hey,
I had this idea nagging in the back of my head:
With all the veterans missing BBEANS6 and all the new rookies that are beginning to get really good at DSL that someone (027) could host a second chance for people who missed BBEANS6. Same rules as BBEANS6.

DSL LW, BBEANS Arena V2, 2 min matches and 3 fights in each match.

oh, and NO ONE THAT ENTERED BBEANS6 MAY JOIN.

2 Things.
1: I no see poll EDIT: Never mind
2: Would it only be people who didn't compete in BBEANS 6, or just bots that didn't compete in BBEANS 6 (like I couldn't enter Stanley 2...)

why use BBEANS in your tourney name? you could just host a LW DSL tourney.There's always plenty of opportunity to enter or host a tourney if you miss out on one.

anyway it wouldn't really be a second chance because it wouldn't count towards the ranking.

@ somebody: only people who didn't enter, none of the 67 BBEANS entrants can enter.

I'd be interested in this as I didn't get chance to enter BBEANS (as I wasn't even a member of the forum at that time)

I have to agree... it has no relation to BBEANS what so ever (ranks, prizes, etc) feels like your trying to get a tournament off anothers popularity (you may not be but thats what this thing looks like to others)

I agree too, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't run this tourney or anything, just that it doesn't need a relation to BBEANS

Meeeh, there's something missing.

Pyscolone, MNB, and Jules are the only veterans who might have entered BBEANS6 but didn't, and I don't think you'll get any of them to enter this. MNB maybe, if you got ahold of him, but I can't see Pys entering a tourney hosted by an untested newbie (no offense intended to 027 LB), and Jules isn't active enough.

Then you're just left with the newbies who joined (or got better at DSL) after BBEANS6 started... and at that point you might as well just make a generic DSL LW tourney.

Now what might work is allow people in who entered BBEANS6, but they have to enter an upgrade to their BBEANS bot (I know JoeBlo has a better version of Predator, and I know I could improve Bisector.) However you should limit the number of such people (say, half the bracket size) to give the "latecomers" a chance to get in.

hmmm, neat idea. New Plan:
1) 8 people with better bots than(or upgrades of) Their BBEANS6 entry may send them (there will be 8 of them)
2) 8 people who didn't enter BBEANS6 can send their bots also.

now prepare me to enter Rock Smash 2 and own you all...
