I hope you're going to relinquish some of your spots if you get enough entries.  It is not normal for the host to enter 4 bots.

4 entries per person in such a small tournament isn't fair - especially when you get first pick of the spots when others might not get their 1 entry in due to your 4.

Not exactly, you can enter as many as you want to up to 4. Some people are just entering of 1 or 2.

As far as I'm concerned, 4 is just too many. It encourages people to spam entries to try to win, and is unfair on those who would rather spend a lot of time making 1 cool bot than 4 meh ones.
