how do you organize a tournament. i have an idea for one, flippin' marvelous

well you dont get points for flipping the other bots so you would have a bunch of static wep bots. why dont you enter my tourny to get an idea and ill help you with yours as soon as mines done. if you have Yahoo IM then hit me up. my SN is driftgtrskyline@yahoo.com. if you dont have then try to as its free and i can help you with anything you need ie bots orr modding the game if you want to learn.

You could make a flipper tournament into the Octogon Arena. Believe me, they'll be a lot of bot flight here and "goal!" in the deathpits here. There they'll be flippers and rams too, a good fight there.

Perhaps put a house rule as "at least one burst motor firing upwards in the bot" (e.g. flipper or popup)

i can make an arena for you buts kinda hard to AI a bot that knows it has to flip a bot out at a certin peramater. ill talk to mad and see if he can with this matter. it would have to be a best of 3 matchs to lower the luck fator i think.

ya it dose but it takes a lot of batt power. i had to use 1 black and a nifty to rupt a DDT

why not its the most effective type of flipper but it has the HUGH drawback of needing all that battery power. plues its not very controllable even with AI. BTW this is a AI tourny right?

ill tell you what im gonna try to make the arena like a very low upside down "v" about a 25 deg incline on each side with

raisers at the top of the V that will throw you towards the bottem end and a set there that throw you towards the top it would be mayham if you ai didnt avoid the hazards. the end walls will be high but you can toss out at the sides. im makeing the arena regardless but i think it would be great for your tourney. its just an idea

sounds like a pretty awesome arena and i think a flipper tourney would be great on it. although i think we should have someone else host it as i do not trust this guy with a tourney as he sounds about 6 years old

I'll compete. I'll made an inverted popup (e.g. a flipper but with weapons), sorta Matrix Array.

We need to set the weight clas too. I think Lightweights are out.
