@Tommy: Well CF and BFE is allowed :P yeah, for more complex designs like rings you get more leniency with cutting through stuff but please keep it to a minimum regardless.

Submissions will be open likely straight after the last House Robot Reveal, and I plan on doing 1 or 2 every day... so get yourselves prepped.
You have been warned! :D

The AI have been programmed not to attack the House Robot unless the other opponent has been defeated.

I had no idea this was even possible...
There is a setting in one of the files (don't remember which one it is off the top of my head) that you can use to make the AI bots either ignore or target the player controlled robot (Normally it's set so the AI will rather attack a player controlled one than another AI bot.)

This man knows :P we're also looking at implementing other systems that disable bots when others are knocked out, meaning the house robots can come and play with the knocked out bots... :D

Tag Team is hardcoded into the exe, this is based on the targeting coding in the AI __init__.

It's like Shunt on acid.  Neat.

Yeah, I need to be sent the actual bot file to be able to make any decisions on it

Can we send you .bot files for our competitors just to double check everything is within the rules?  Mostly just want to be sure mine's IRL enough

That will be judged when you start sending your entries, once this tournament is in signups, anyway. A good way to check if your robot is IRL is by showcasing the robot, too.

Stratton looks awesome; It's a bit like if Shunt was a lot more industrial and had fire.

Also, I can't wait for the third house 'bot :3

Count me in for this.

Never seen this weight limit before in a tournament.

IIRC, Robot Wars Series 8 DSL Edition was Cruiserweight.

I like that we've gone full-boxing with the weight categories now

Megalodon might be my favourite so far, nice job DemonOfTomorrow.  Don't see too many flipper house bots...

Sneak peek at a test I tried out.
Please don't be upset if I don't do this in the series, it took way longer than I'd like to admit and doesn't look great

That's a pretty cool effect!
I don't think it'll ruin the tournament or anything if you decide it takes longer than it's worth, though.
