Sounds like exactly what this community needs.
RA2 LeagueYear long league structure3 seasonsLW Season MW SeasonHW SeasonThere is a grace period between each season, as well as an offseason at the end of the year where offseason activities take place.Number of teams is dependent on number of players.Number of matches per season is dependent on number of teams. Timeframe of each season is dependent on number of matches.Players who display interest at the start are placed into a talent pool. X Amount of captains are selected. Captains will draft from that talent pool during the first offseason. Draft order will be selected randomly, and a snake draft will commence live on some form of chat service such as skype. There will be free agents who do not get drafted. Sorry.Drafts in susbsequent years will occur when enough new players show interest for each team to gain a new member(s.)Every player on each team is required to build a bot for each season. Matchups will occur weekly, and will be randomly chosen. What bot will be used for each match will be decided during the week leading up to the match, in secret. Points will be scored similarly to BBEANS ranking system, and put into the teams' total points. Point leader at the end of HW season will be crowned champion for the year.
For once the mods did something right
We would need multiple hosts willing to record matches on a weekly basis.
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.
Ironforge doesn't really have a meta because there's probably been a maximum of 2 or 3 competitive tournaments in it.
For this to work, we need everyone to agree on one mod that is almost objectively the best for an innovative competitive environment, and then push all of our focus there.
I'm sorry, could someone explain how this draft thing would work? This definitely seems like something I'd be interested in, though.
