I'm in the process of recording right now as we speak. I should be able to get the first heat going on next Sunday.

Yeah, sorry I haven't been able to say much, but I've have been quite busy lately.

Disclaimer: if there's any matches that abruptly end, it's most likely due to a havok/crash and I took the best result.

The first two melees, I felt that Leviathan and Unintentional Tombklone kinda led in aggression and damage in their respective melees.

I just simply did some test recordings of some random matches, then took the best parts and edited to match the timing of the theme song.

I like the production value as a whole, though the 90 second will massively overstay its welcome if it's in every video.

Love the CW version of LevitiaN and i think its amazing that that a really good looking bot won so dominant! :)

I just wish i last a little bit longer to make sense out of the 1th seat, 0-2 is kinda bad! xD
Anyway, love the new datasheet for the bots! Looks more solid! :3

Lots of judges decisions here. inVasion I felt did the most in it's melee, Shark Attack won by a hair for me in its melee, Solar Storm 2 did a lot of flips on Pyrothere which was pretty dominant, and in the heat final SS2 did a lot of control and aggresssion and threw Thanato everywhere and took it for me.

I did feel InVasion was maybe a bit lucky to get the nod in the first round but it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things since it got beaten in its second fight. The heat final in particular was awesome with how they were tussling on the edge of the pit. Great stuff. Roll on Heat C!

Pusher had a pretty aggressive and controlled win in its melee, First Blood just stole it for me by removing Royality's wheel, Primodious had control and did a lot of pushing on First Blood in the semi-final, and Royality dominated in the final.

Also a question: Are you allowed to rebuild a bot completely from scratch with obvious improvements and design changes but keep the name and style of the other one for Deathmatch 3, for example Chomp in seasons 1 and 2 of battlebots ABC

Fairly confident I had a handle on that first match had I lasted the full 3 minutes. No real excuse for my poor second match performance though. I was against a great bot that countered me well. General Gwip's performances this heat were super impressive too, especially against Epilep-Z. All in all a really good heat with good displays from all the bots across the board

Quite ironic that my biggest fear with Mighty Crab was opponents slipping between the claws and smacking it in the face, and then Mighty Crab ended up stuck between Gwip's claws and getting smacked in the face.

Proud of its melee performance though! That was a good heat.

Raw Power had a pretty tough match, but i felt it had a slight edge in control in the first round melee, I felt MGMV8 lost due to low aggression and absolutely zero control in both of it's matches, and Raw Power dominated in it's Semi-Final.

For the Judge's Decisions: LAVAStone and End Game I thought pretty much did exactly all of the work before the havok cutoff point in their respective melees (As well as Black Bird and Executioner being bullied and/or limping for too long).

Also I'm sad the replicas didn't fight in the heat final. :(

Evil Art Project's Melee I felt it was rather clear that it did a lot and destroyed everything. Executioner vs. Leviathan I was actually rather stuck on since both bots did quite a lot in their halves before the crash. Leviathan was only slightly ahead of Executoner, but I felt Executioner had everything else only slightly more comfortably. The Grand Final? Now THAT was a hard call. I was trying to decide between the pushing match, but there I felt Solar Storm had more control, Royality did a lot of damage, so it made up the points there. But Agression is what kicked it for me, as it was just one point for Solar Storm for that final decision.

Considering the positive responses I'm getting, and a few ideas I have in my head, it's almost certain I might.

Now while everything may look complete, I do have one more video I might want to get myself going through with. Some grudge matches. Pure exhibition battles if for a fun concept from the battle, or some score to settle. I'm willing to take some suggestions before the end of Thursday. Now, everything pretty much is acceptable, but I do have some things I would like to address for suggestions:

1. No rematches of any battles. It would just be redundant in the end.
2. Let's at least keep it to 1-on-1 or 3-way melees. The format of this will be like the normal show: two melees and five 1-on-1s. Just to keep consistencies.
3. Suggest bots from Deathmatch 2 only. Again, simplicity's sake and I don't have that much time to AI new bots.
4. I will be taking the best suggestions for the grudge matches, not first come first serve. Mainly cause I would like some fun matches for this. If someone suggests a match you also had in mind or comes very close to what you had in mind, quote it, and I'll mark it up as a popular one.

That's basically it. I hate to sound so OCD and like a neat freak at times, but it just helps me in the end. As far as my suggestions? Ones I had in mind were Catharsis vs. RedAce's Cute Little Pusher (just to see how fun it would be to have my own bot take on a bot named after me :P) and End Game vs. LAVAStone (A Replica battle that kickstarted this idea, so I wanna try and do that unless the suggestions are miles better).

With all that said, any suggestions for grudge matches?

Unintentional Tombklone vs Raw Power vs Thanato
Primodius vs General Gwip vs End Game

And also, seed rumbles, for seeded bots who fell. The battles will be:

Dualchrom Bones vs inVasion vs Ampilo Despierto
Mud Runner vs Fusion vs Epilep-Z

Okay, so I tried to take the best of everyone's suggestions, to try and avoid as many repeat offenders or bots that already have one bot in. It's kinda hard to take suggestions when most are just the builder wanting to take on a random bot, but eh, can't win every fight I guess.

I could not get a feasible match for the opening melee. That's the best match I got from like five or ten tries. Even then inVasion took it bar none. The second melee I felt MUD RUNNER had the battle on a back-and-forth basis. Leviathan and Breaking Hammers had both bots immobile for the second half in the recording, and I considered Leviathan immobile since all it did was spin like a top before Breaking Hammers got turned over. Primodious I felt led in control and aggression, so not much to say here. Little Pusher just took the edge in agression, since he and Catharsis actually were pretty much dead even in damage and control.

And that's it. I really hope you all enjoyed this tournament, as it's one of my favorite working on so far, and I hope to make the eventual Deathmatch 3 much more fun and interesting. So if you want, post your thoughts, and thanks all for sticking by! :)
