3 go through. the first placed straight to round 3 and second an third to round 2.

The first one wins and moves directly to round 3
The next 2 move to second round
The last one is dropped out

In second and third rounds First 2 move on and the 2 last ones are dropped out.

4th round is final.

Whoa.. the 1 minute matches took me by surprise too.

Thought I had that even so (Qualified atleast, but still, a full win would of been good). WBWAPS didn't show that much control though, a possible AIing fault. When it wasn't flying from it's too-fast drive, it seemed to be attacking with it's rear end, which is.. well, you can tell it isn't a good idea.

Oh well. Should of AIed it myself.

That'd be complex... or so I think :| Is there a function or way to detect which direction the targeted opponent is facing? That's the foundation of a dodge and backstab AI.

Then you'd need trial and error and a bit of luck to create a control output that swerves around bots of many sizes, not getting too close to be blindsided, but not being too far away to avoid it being a waste of time. That's without taking both bot's speed, movement AND turning-wise into account.

How would it detect a wall too, when the conditions are met, but the target is backed into a corner?

I played with the idea long ago. Easiest way I came up with was to offset the drive wheels just a touch so that as it charged at a foe it would be off by a few degrees, miss them and swerve around and try again.

Since the 2nd pass was generaly closer, the angle of attack was smaller and it was able to hit from back or side (depending on how fast the other bot could turn around).

Issues of the other bot just needing to turn around, HS bots that could attack in all directions and yes hitting the arena wall as part of the charge, turn and charge again attack style all reduced effectiveness of the idea.

Not necassarily, he could upload a few more vids during that weekend, but he is only able to upload during weekends due to shcool.

I'ts possible that I can upload 3 battles on next weekend because I'm thinking that one battle in one day like Friday: 2nd Battle Saturday: 3rd Battle and Sunday: 4th Battle Next week Friday: 2nd Round 1st Battle and so and so...
