Its all equally unbalanced though, all parts have around the same HP

^This makes no sense, having the same HP for different weights is VERY unbalanced.^


In the interests of staying on topic, some of these matches are very predictable (even by looking at the video time left) but sometimes I do get surprised by events that occur.

WTF at my match, I spin around dominating the match then just randomly jump out of the arena. It never did anything that extreme in testing. Very dissappointed.

I don't think it was random. I think your opponent hit you and caused your bot to become slightly off balance, so that the wheel wasn't getting proper traction. When it regained traction, the speed and torque it had flung your bot OOTA.

Odd, maybe the physics of your game is slightly different. Regardless, I think that is a pretty sad way to go. You got my vote for BTRSHDBBDDTBL.

Your robot reacts no different in any games..

If I put 4 of them in the one arena they would all act tame and controlled.. the problem with yours and 123's robots is to do with chassis size and large / very grippy wheels

Years ago I posted a robot in my showcase that demonstrated that a small chassis and large grippy wheels causes the robot to be able to climb vertically.. go ahead a try it, make a 2x2 cube with some fast drive and put Techno's or WBC wheels and drive at a wall, you will see it climbs..

Now the same thing happens when you run over the curb edge of the arena, the slanted wall (that fires you outwards not upwards) or it seems to do it when it runs over the weapons which 090901's robot was able to sneak in under yours..

So its a legit loss.. a 1 wheeled robot of that weight needs a significantly larger chassis or a more popular option.. less grippy wheels.. Thats why you dont see Urjaks robot flying around..
