Meh, they probably just need to work on their space management a bit more ;P
One thing all my not good enough clash cube bots have done for me is help me a lot when it comes to eliminating empty space in a cubular chassis

I think you should maybe set a tolerance. All sides must be no more than 5% longer than any other side, or something like that.

NFX (I think?) said that caused troubles

yours wasnt as bad.. the other one I had was too flat as they were trying to get away with invertiblity on the robot

i had that trouble. but i used template to check it's cubiness.

I just take a screen shot from the robots rear

draw a cube using the rectangle tool and holding the shift key (makes a perfect square) in paint

follow along the bottom to make sure the height is accurate

I just make a cube, look at it, and if it's not spot on I redesign it again

If you have basic bot file knowledge (see https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php/page,page2187.html) and know elementary geometry, it's easy to make a cube in RA2.
