i know im dead but i already won (made two of the prizes) so i didnt really care but watch out there might not be that mutch under mounted spinners but this is the one you want to watch out for

@ hydro: smart zones are a component you place in a certain spot and when your opponent enters that zone the weapon fires. can't explain it any better.

@ everyone: mine is pretty slow to start but if it gets up to full speed look out, i also gave it bottom protection to annoy pop-ups and VS's and it's invertible.

relax I made a copy of your bots and put them in the garage and took away the smart zones to make the picture look better :-D

@Hydro: I had to put a smart zone on your rams so the bot would fire them when others were near it (ie: in range)

my forecasts :

Match 1 : 5 vs 12 <-> SnSnSnS vs lol another ... : SnSnSnS should be a whipper, so lol will be hit on its side again and again until a hard death comes.

Match 2 : 6 vs 11 <-> Cube vs Cubinator : i thing Cubinator will loose its wheel giving a good chance to Cube.

Match 3 : 7 <-> 10 : Awful red thing From Outer Space (ie fos) vs Smash Down : i know awful (i've made it) : it is a very surprising bot, winning against killer bot and loosing against poor ones : so there ? i dunno, hope a win by points. Smashdown is well protected but lack of weapons.

Match 4 : 8 vs 9 : Xenophobic vs Grey matter : Grey matter should win, but i like Xenopobic, even if i am not sure this is THE good way to use those unloved sawblade. Xenophobic should have been a potential winner if it had a wedge.

Clash Cube winner : I think SnsSnSnS.. looks scary.
Best design : I like Big bad Brother, but i don't know if it is really reallistic, Naryar jobs is always well finished too.

lol been doing my head in over the error messages I was getting when AI'ing Man Manu's bot only to find that there was a double space between "bot" and "from" which caused the issue lol phew

each bot has been given a few test runs at the little cube to ensure all is well before recording, based on this I have a prediction for where the robots will quailify

Afterburner 2 - a good quick wammer, one of my predictions for top qualifier

Bushido's Beyatch - good weaponry, should qualify in the top 6

Cube Tank - very dangerous should it corner a robot, could qualify quite well

Big Bad Brother - very strong robot but an SnS in qualifying may not be the quickest

CUBE not a disk or a cylinder - a quick killer, easily one hit kill the little cube expecting a top 6 qualify

Awful red thing fos - interesting but the Whipping could take up a bit of time in qualifying

XenoPhobik III - good speed, closes in on other robots quite fast, a likely top 6

Grey Matter - will send the Little Cube sky high, entertaining run is expected

Smash Down - this is one of my predictions for top qualifier, fast and dangerous

Cubinator - could make mince meat of the Little Cube

SnSnSnSnS - another SnS, one to watch in the head to head battles but SnS in qualifying takes time

Lol another nub bot from me - no joke with this prediction, looking at top 3 qualify from this one

Predictions !

Afterburner 2: Wammer. Very fast, might be the best wedges of the tourney again, however unlike some of my lighter wammers the weapons aren't very damaging for a HW. Also an Omni, so be prepared for pinning...

Bushido's Beyatch: Someone doesn't knows to build even a decent HS... Second SFTW though Hydro's is worse.

Cube Tank: Pathetic SFTW. That is all.

Big Bad Brother: Ungrippy wheel fail. It IS realistic, and overall a decent SnS - i have a MW design like that. We'll see how it fares.

SnSSnSSnS: What an original name. A pretty nice bot in overall though.

CUBE not a disk or a cylinder: Another nice bot, however not as good as i expected from a shell spinner specialist.

Awful red thing from outer space: Ungrippy exposed wheel fail. Still a good bot - let's see if it's as deadly as AGTFOS, and probably less of a yawnfest...

XenoPhobik III: A decent sawbot that critically misses a wedge and saw protection. Excellent damage potential however - we'll see if it helps.

Gray Matter: Why the

does every DSL tournament has a Mako clone in it ? A decent bot that can get some wins - could be much better though.

Smash Down: One of the best bots in the competition, but it is flawed by weak weapons and unefficient armor.

Cubinator: Ungrippy wheel fail. A really average bot overall... Somebody's SnS/HS hybrid is a better design.

Lol another nub bot from me: Not a nub bot neither a SFTW. Ungrippy wheel fail again, but it has a wedge, Etek drive and a lot of irons... and these will help. Can get some wins unless it fights a wedge...

, i can even see this beating my Afterburner.

Yes indeed, i thought the disks were spinning, but looking at the showcase, they do not -> so it is reallistic -> good base for future bots.

I'm pretty sure it's a SnS hybrid. It would be dumb to build a rear spinner like that on a pure blooded HS.

@ people who worry I don't have a wedge: Xenophobic is supposed to ride over wedges and grind them off. Not sure how well that will work here though.

I am fairly pressed with work at the moment (still squeezing in time to visit GTM) but I will start working on the videos over the next few days and hoping to have qualifying up by the end of the week :-D

Believe me when I say this, a shell spinner with a square chassis is next to impossible to do in a way I would like. I prefer circular chassis which house the motor due to more HP and MUCH more stability. I am not very proud of CUBE not a disk or a cylinder as a shell spinner.

Update: the qualifying is all done, just editing the videos now before I put them up (take out all the rubbish before the battle etc) and then post it up

PS: there was a few surprises in the top part of the field :-D
