Temi: Do slow motors with fast motors really pose any benefit to a bot at all with drive?

Yes, However, it's only a slight advantage.

Really? How so? does the unrealistic physics engine make it so that the slow motors actually give it a little extra power rather than (like real life) slow the bot down with the added friction. I always avoided such a setup thinking it was of no benefit whatsoever. hmmm.

Exactly, but it's not really worth it since it could probably be faster with 2wd and better wheels/motors.

I'm going to lose... badly, and considering my current tournament record, that's saying a lot.  I just don't think my entry fits for a tournament like this, but I had no other choices.

Some really nice-looking bots though.

Tournament Record: 94 Wins - 50 Losses
Challenge Record: 2 Wins - 2 Losses

Some comments

Click - would be better without the axle wedge.  Axle wedge just isn't strong enough to get under metal hinge/small wedge in most cases, so it does not help in preventing OOTA.

Doomkiller - my guess is the wedge would be better if it's slightly longer.  Since it's a popup we will have to see how well the wedge performs.

The Ounce - Solid, should finish off bot relatively fast when get under.

Robo - I can't guess how well the wedge will perform.

Scrap Daddy - A solid bot in close arena, but might get OOTA in this one.

Urjak - I don't doubt it's ability to toss, so it comes down to how well the wedge performs.  I think it will have problem getting under small wedge/metal hinge.

As for mine, well lighten up.  Not everybody has to enter a bot intending to win.  And besides my very serious VS still lost on round one during the last tournament anyway.  With some luck this bot might just outperform my previous one.

LiNcK:a bot that will give me problems I always get outscored by hammers for some reason .
Linck: I like it! Getting to that cube without a wedge will be tough.
LiNcK:Good HS, but has an exposed weapon motor.

Atleast im not getting super bad predictions :D

I don't even know the arena, so I'm dead if my bot has to avoid a center hazard or turn around haha.
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

I remember something about an AI bot that went to the middle of the arena & started spinning...
That bot would fail in all the matches with things in the middle :\

Their is no hazards, The walls are low like  in the DSL tournment arena and the walls move counterclockwise or clockwise I forgot.( every 30 sec or so a part of the arena wall is removed so in some parts of the arena their will be no wall in 30 sec intervals).

My thoughts.

Flying Quillatine: Quite nice, one bot i don't want to face

Hammer on fire: Good, but it looks like the blade doesn't have very good reach since it's almost right next to the chassis

Prejudice Box Jr v2: I'm a little worried about that skirt hinge wedge

Death Device: SFTW #1

Masher 2010: Piglets probably wouldn't make those discs go fast, since those discs are quite heavy

Kheper: It's beautiful *tear*

Micro Phobik: I'm a little bit concerned about the wedges

BMMB-C: Does that thing even have wheels? I can't tell due to bad angle pic

Wizet: Kewl

100% No BFE: Fatboy wheels aren't the best choice for an SnS

Shortsighted Surgeon: That thing looks like it has a hard time turning

Haphazard 2: Another good one

Whiplash Effect: Looks good

Revenge of Dawn: Skirt hinge wedges fail on VS.

Face Gasher: Saw blades for a SnS?

Danger Box 1.9: Must be hard to control

Danger Cute Axe Upgrade: SFTW #2

Postmodern Cubism: I'm scared

Fallen Hero: *heart attack due to epicness of bot*

Tunneler: Nice

Anti-Matter: Metal hinge wedges and VS don't mix

Mobile Cube Grinding Device: Just razors?

Turbulence: Love it

Douja Raze: Not the best choice for weapons and wedges

Schizoid: Awesome!

Grucho Marx: Not the best choice of weapons for rammers

I'll do the rest later.

Badnik96: I like the design, it looks cool... I don't think it will be very effective though.

You guys are really underestimating my bot.

Hmmm, first try at predictions:

123STW: Pretty sweet looking bot, with a hard to reach chassis. Some bots might be able to ripped off the exposed extenders though
90901: Looks like another DOAM ripoff. Wedges are my main concern for this bot, as most bots here have metal hinges
Ashman12: Too step of skirt wedge, and not enough weapons for my liking
Avalanche: ummmm, flipper? or pop up? either way, that chassis is gona be a snack to most bots here
Badnik96: Nice looking robot, lets just hope it traps and grinds well, or it's a gona
Clickbeetle: Ummmm..... What is it?
Condor33: Nice saw bot, could be deveastating
Craaig: Doesn't look too bad, some hang time can be expected
Doomkiller: Glad I made the desicion for more razors and less external armour. And yes, I wish I could paint the firestorm flipper.
GK: just don't like those exposed wheels
Hazm47: Fast, but maybe a bit too fast. Could've benefitted from a trapping device though. Looks good overall
JD: Loads of amour, might just win cause of all those firestorm flippers
JoeBlo: pop up, flipper? whatever it is, it looks pretty cool
Jonzu95: I am agreeing with everyone esle, just looks unrealistic. Looks good nonetheless, and might surprise some people.
LdL: Fast, but just doesn't seen to have the weapons to get the job done
Linck: Will be tough to get to that chassis, the hammers will just fling other bots away as they get close
LLB: looks like a bot my sister built....
MikeNCR: The master is back with a cool looking robot. Worried about how wedgy it is though
Naryar: Very nice, and good use of Sirk drills. Must clone it one day
The Ounce: Couldn't done better myself. Nice job, hope to see this go far
Pwn: Great, just what I wanted to see. Will go quite far
Redline: Fast, and hopefully wedgy, should also do well
Reier: Yeap, another bot I wanted to see
Ribbs: Quite like this one. should gut rip very well, and be a quick killer
Roboshark: YAY panic attack skirts. Quite a cool design, I expect it to go far
Russian Roulette: Another good idea here, could just push opponents right off the arena
System32: looks good, lets just hope I can get to that chassis, as it will be hard to do.
Sage: DAM INVUNERIBLE CASTORS!!1. Well, there goes my hopes
Scrap Daddy: Not too sure. Has the trapping capablilties, but no wedge on a FS just feels weird to me...
Somebody: I was wondering how you would make this bot. Nice
SM: just not long enough weapons to keep the other bots away from the wheels
SomeStrangeGuy: Very cool looking bot, but why are the eteks black? or is it just a skin?
stagfish: Kinda reminds me of the worms weapon, kamikaze, cept on worms, it was actaully dangerous
STC: Nice, but what about stabililty
TeamZOG: loads of defense, but not enough attacking capabilities. Might outlast other bots though
Temi: doesn't look to bad, but might've benefitted from better wheels
Thyrus: awsome. Wondering how it will do in battle though
Triton: Fast and pushy, nice idea with the extenders
Trumpetguy: another nice Fs. Will go far
Urjack: MOAR hang time FTW
Viper: Hah, you got some courage sending in a crawler with naryar around :P Can see it being a PITA to some bots, like mine

@Triton 'Just' razors? What am I missing...?
While I don't have a recent AI pack to compare to, the damage it dishes already I believe  is formidible.

Just saying.

Dammit I just saw the arena. I would be set if this was a closed arena since my bot only really loses to pop-ups.

Part 2 of my thoughts

Prophecy: MW Blue Moon? Nice

CUBEBORG: Polycarb extenders are everywhere

Disturbance Strategy: Nothing too special

SnSnS 3: Custom component alert!!! Oh wait...

Flail Monkey: Taz wheels aren't very good

Crazed Fireman: Lovely

Kamikaze Cubes: It doesn't look very good, but the only reason it's not an SFTW is because it's a cluster bot

Navi: Zelda reference FTW

Spinny Cube Thingy: Shark teeth aren't very good, and impossible to remove

Skeletone of Rambo: Pretty good for a newcomer

The Atilla Cube: Kewl

Critical X: I regret putting on that DSL Bar, also for those who may be wondering, this bot is a rammer/wacker hybrid

Alphabet Without Letters: 50/50

Terminal Force: One bot I don't want to face

The Devil's Vortex: rammer/crawler hybrid? Nice
