Lol, if you cant beat the little cube bots then you fail. Even I can make a bot good enough to beat them. (And that's saying something!)

ok the clusterbot/multibot rules are on page 1 I decided to make it like battlebots style rules that were enforced for "the swarm" except the cluster limit is set to 2

"If 50% of the weight is beaten the whole bot is out"

Umm.. does that mean that if the other half of the cluster bot dies, the match is decided or what?

Yeah, I think so, like the rules inforced on Gemini in the UK also. They once got beaten cos one got wedged on a spike on the side of the arena.

Edit: yes Craaig is also right

So I could build one at 598kg and one at 599kg and if the 598kg bot got destroyed first then the 599kg bot could still win the match?

essentially yes that is a loop hole that battlebots had which is why the swarm ended up being 3 robots rather then 2 so they could exploit that

in robot wars its if ONE of the clusters gets destroyed there all out

so yes if the 598 gets taken out first then the battle will continue

battle bots said and quoted off the nightmare teams website (the swarm)

Quote
the BattleBot rules state that a multibot is only knocked out if 50% by weight is immobilized

robot wars had one out, all out no matter how many you had

Typhoon Twins -MW
Gemini - HW (flippers)
Black n Blue - HW (drums)
there was also an antweight flipper cluster but the name escapes me

anyway back on topic the rules for the multibot are on page 1 note the bots DONT have to be able to connect or anything like that.

Don't you need to be connected somehow?

no im running the Battlebots rules so the bots can be completely different

take a look at this Battlebots SHW Clusterbot

http://www.robotcombat.com/swarminfo.html

the middle one in that picture was changed to be more like backlash, notice they dont connect, connection was only in robot wars

Is it still going to be one round per matchup or best two out of three like in BBEANS?

haven't decided I might make it best out of 3 but if a bot wins 2 straight there wont be a third match up

but as a result don't expect it to be a speedy as I was with the last tournament
