My next plan is "Not Quite Replica Wars" where people make bots only using the components found in single DSL replicas.

1 big issue would be the lack of construction materials.. basically you would have to make one of the replicas with a different weapon or something like that

Yes, but things like The Judge could have interesting armour placements.
