Yeah, it's time again to head back to the old Chinese Whispers
DSL LW with teams of 3 making each bot.
24 entrants (8 bots)
Ring Arena
No BFE, AAM, Hax mode etc...
Dsl realism
1 havok restart per fight, then disqualification.
I'm sure you know how this works by now...

Tell me if you wish to be captain, I choose the 8 most suited.

inb4 I rant because i get some OK bot that is totally RUINED by ONE absolutely random point of building...

And then win again.

But it's lightweights. It's harder to fix errors made by unskilled builders with less total weight available.

Yes, of course. Is your memory failing ?

But when you are captain you don't really pass a bot... you build a chassis, send it, then get it back 2 weeks after, and discover how far your team went from your original idea.

Make the chassis, receive the nearly finished bot, rage as you see how people didn't followed your original idea at all (even if you pushed them in the direction with a certain chassis shape) and it's an unefficient mess.

I've been thinking about sending subtle messages to my team via the bot without S_M detecting them, but if they're too subtle, my team won't get them. Damnit.

Silver Shredder was my own version of Silverfish, Thats how I would have made the bot if it was 100% mine to build :P

The idea was so that people couldn't find out who was on their team, and as was shown, once people started talking about where they were, some members started deducing who they'd been teamed up with, and so on.

AWESOME.

For starters, I am going to remove the spleen of whoever put the 40cm wedge on the metal hinge. Made it more difficult than usual to get the proper frontal defenses on.

It didn't mess up the bot too much, though, it's still pretty wedgy. Did rather well during testing. I'm feeling fairly confident with this one, we ended up with a pretty good bot, I reckon.

In all seriousness, I got teamed up with a fairly competent set of builders. Although I may have messed up a bit right at the start, because I trimmed the chassis to make a Middleweight instead of a Lightweight. Then I read the rules and was like "oh balls". But it's all turned out well, hopefully. =D

I'm interested as to who the third builder was, though, it seems like a pretty good build to me. Would have liked to get an extra ant in there, though, but it's all good. =) Looking forward to killing some stuff, specifically Naryar and his designated minions.

i had a wedge chassis with some plastic and astros+hypnos (hi grw) and put the wedges and some external armor on a skirt hinge on
