Congratulations to the winner, Lightning S.!
I mean this when I say it though, everyone did a good job. Thank you so much for being a great first test for online tournaments. People were respectful to each other and it was much more personal than an AI tournament. It was a huge success in my mind! Hopefully I'll get to do another soon.

That being said, it's time to give out some awards to recognize the achievements of those you think deserve it. The categories are:
BEST DRIVER for who had the most driving skill, using their bot and the arena to their advantage the best.
BEST DESIGN for the most efficient, well constructed build.
INNOVATIVE DESIGN for which design pushed the limits of building and can inspire the building of others in ways maybe not considered before.
BEST MOMENT for your favorite moment from a match.

My votes:

BEST DRIVER Lightning S. Perhaps a bit expected, but I really feel he had the best control of his bot out of the competitors. He used hazards very well too, to a consistently greater degree than anyone else.
BEST DESIGN Thrackerzod with Paralytic Dream. Hardly the most innovative design in the field, but it is a very tight build balancing damage, durability, and power. Also probably the best design in play for the Octagon all things considered due to its small size.
INNOVATIVE DESIGN Clickbeetle with Falling Star 2. The design would be very mediocre with AI, but not so with pvp. Very nice to see people pushing the boundaries of building. I hope online will inspire people to create unique designs, cause as CB said "it changes what is good" when the human factor is in play.
BEST MOMENT freeziez losing both flippers in round 2 of the semi. died laughing when I saw it. sorry bud :gawe:

2. Militant Sea Cucumbers 2 was a very compact build that had the potential to do some serious damage

3. Falling Star 2 hands down. I certainly wasn't expecting to see a bot like this, especially with servos due to their lack of power.

4. Badnik vs Lightning was a really good match. It showcased how potent good driving can be.

2. click made a good point of how having a wide bot can be a liability in the octagon, so my vote goes to paralytic dream
3. falling star 2, especially with how the weapon was used vs paralytic dream
4. badnik getting stuck in my clamp at the end of our match. it wasn't intentional, but i'll take it
