BTTB Revamped (Display)

Yup, another Display Tourney, but this time, it's not really an original one, but an unofficial mock tourney this time. For those who are unaware, G.K. officially announced his first original tournament on April 13, 2010 known as Back to the Beginnings. A tourney that had forum members sign up to be in the tourney and then, all participants, will be randomly assigned what bot to build based on the forum members first ever bot based on what bot it actually is. Then those bots would be put in a Double Elimination Bracket to see who built the best rebuild. Since then, it became a pretty popular tournament with lots of interest and an interesting tournament concept. As time went on, a sequel started to come around changing up the game from Stock to DSL. The next two tournaments did repeat the cycle, but people had to build people's first DSL bot in Stock in BTTB 3 and first Stock bot in DSL in BTTB 4. BTTB 3 was my first ever tournament I've ever participated in, and I do miss those times. But anyway, It's fifth anniversary is coming up, I felt, why not celebrate with the bots BTTB 1 & 3? (I probably would've actually done the DSL ones as well, but those bots were never officially released into the public.) But, I'm going to have a different arena than the Twisted Arena because rumor has it that wedges are glitched in the arena. I apologize if I'm not going the whole nostalgic route.

GENERAL RULES:
- Stock HW (399.1 - 800.0 kg)
- 50 Entrants
- The entrants will be from BTTB 1 & 3 AI. (Including the Promo Bots and the Least Performing Bot from BTTB 3)
- Multibots are allowed as long as their combined weight stays within 800.0 kg

BATTLE RULES:
- 2 minute length matches
- Keznorg IGC Arena (Reskinned and Hazards off)
- Best 2-3 Matches
- Double Elimination Bracket
- A rumble will be given to top four bots in the bracket that isn't the Champion or Runner-up
- Byes will be randomized in the brackets
- If a robot havoks once and it costs the match, that bot gets a free restart, if it happens again, that bot is disqualified.

All matches will be rated on a spectrum of 1-5 stars. 5 being a match worthy to see and 1 being as exciting as two snails racing each other. All ratings are based on my personal thoughts and experience of the match.

Not a very interesting way to kick off the tournament. That's a bad sign. There moments where there the first round contained NOTHING HAPPENING AT ALL. The last two matches gave it the other star, but it's still pretty unamusing But anyway, Radioactive Meltdown has the capability of tossing opponents out of the arena as long as Go Up Here doesn't slide under him.

EoBSS is a good example of how NOT to build an HS. Large and exposed chassis, weapons plastered on the back rendering them useless, and loads of empty space. Granted it was one of G.K's first bots, and it certainly shows. PTEBTD can counter the maces with it's Side Hammer combination, but that's about all I can say without spoiling who won.

SBTIAC is actually a unique rammer for what it's rebuilding conditions are.  You don't typically see Bear Claws on a rammer. Usually, Bear Claws are used on HS's since they are strong and deal a good amount of damage. But there is a good reason why NO OTHER RAMMER uses bear claws on a rammer. Normals really can screw it over if you use them wrong. Especially, if you're fighting a Deadly VS. Like ElectroN. This might not end well for the Bear.

That's what I'm talking about! A match with back-and-forth action, and lot's of stunts. it was actually hard for me to edit this one since there were moments that were pretty entertaining and I just couldn't leave them out. Killdozer is actually a pretty cool looking wammer. it takes advantages of what a normal rammer can't do and counter popups. But the weight sacrifices the amount of weapons used effectively. And TtTtM is a unique design for having the front wedges flip the other opponents since they can guide their opponent to the Vertical Spinners. However, this doesn't always happen and can annoy the opponent more than attack it. With the pros and cons of their designs, we can imagine the match going either way at this point.

Uh... yeah. A replica of S_M's car is fighting a bot with good wedges, a deadly drum design, and it dangerous. What more can I say other than revealing the winner?

An average first showcased popup vs. a popup who took the championship of BTTB 3. You can tell the pressure is on for the BlockBuster. fighting a popup who is capable of one hit KO's. It's quick like almost all popup vs. popup battles

We got an evolved version of Evolve or Be Spun Somewhere and it's fighting the host of BTTB who had to rebuild Sage's bot, so it's like G.K. is fighting himself. the battle itself is close, but in a boring fashion. Parts fly, but robots don't really die here. It takes a bit, but the first round is probably the worst one though. Everything else is pretty good.

Shaver BX^2 wins 2-1 with 1 KO and 1 TKO. EoBSS X gets 1 KO.

Rusty Seringe is underweight, has exposed weapon extenders, and can be tossed easily by Darker Shades of Grey. He better pray that he can pull a victory.

It just barely got that third star, there were moments I didn't really enjoy. Especially, in Round 3. It can drag. So two multibots that are crawlers against a FS on a hammer. If The Twins get tossed out quickly, O_o_O wins, if not, the Twins win. It's pretty close though.

There are parts falling off, and that's the most exciting part about this fight. Because without the winner, CBD relies on it's hammers and they can break off with Atomic's ramming rack. Once that happens, the match rely's on CBD to use it's wamming maces to beat Atomic, and as a result, this makes for a match I would've perfered havok to decide the outcome.

Crush's Big Daddy wins 3-0 with 1 KO, 1 TKO, and 1 WBP.

Huge SnS was claimed to be the tournament's SFTW in BTTB 3, yet it can get up to speed and do rather well when it happens, but it may not.

Before I discuss about the match, let me just say that this match required an extremely long loading time to get to the match. You can bake yourself toast while the match loads, and even get yourself a drink. You can check your unread topics, your E-mail, post something on Facebook, Twitter, GTM, Order yourself a pizza with some bread sticks, call your relatives or anyone you want to speak to, do your laundry-- Oh C'mon! It's still loading! Anyway, Match is average at best, whoever gut-rips the other bot wins.

Windmill wins 3-0 with 2 KO's and 1 WBP.

Stiletto is balance between speed and power with 4WD and a decent amount of weapons on pistons. Yet since it's still pretty much a rammer, it's only a matter of time before SoD grinds it to dust if, keyword being if, SoD can actually get under it. With that said, the match is close.

Spawn of Drumaphobia wins 2-1 with 2 KO's. Stiletto gets 1 KO.

Macro Vulcan actually has good wedges. If it gets under you, you'll be sent flying. However, it all depends if Macro Vulcan actually gets under it's opponent to flip it out. It needs to get under CoFI to actually flip it out. Problem for Macro Vulcan is that CoFI's wedges are spread out in stead of directly in the center. This makes CoFI hard to flip.

Circle of Flaming Irons wins 3-0 with 2 KO's and 1 KO.

Lots of action in this one. This is a match that will have parts flying and bots dying. Drumbelina needs to keep it's weapons on in order to not be dismantled by BA. However, BA has to keep it's FBS trait to fend off the wedges of Drumbelina to KO it.

Canadian Warlord needs to get under Jester's Hat in order to make those hammers effective. Otherwise, it's over for Canadian Warlord. I really can't say much else since this match is short, so I'll stop typing and keep this description short and not spoil the winner.

I tried building a LW version of c3, yet because it couldn't stay sable for long after it hits something and I just had too many problems with it. What's that gotta do with this match? Well, I could be saying c3's weakness, yet I feel it works in the HW class and maybe MW? Point is CoC has to take advantage of that if the glass cannon wants to win this one. c3 can take advantage of CoC because of the reach it has. Not spoiling anything, yet this may go either way.

MEH vs. Nuclear Fallout***
Nuclear Fallout has a slight disadvantage in this match. MEH is a popup multibot can can attack the sides of NF as NF attacks on, and then treats it as bait. Big Flip's Revenge did well becasue of that in BBEANS5, but since MEH isn't as good as a popup like BFR, it's gonna have a hard time with this match.

Huge SnS may have a huge handicap loss since Sushi Instructor will have an easier time cutting this than actual sushi. However, Huge SnS lost 2-1 against Embodyment of the Blockbuster, even if it was lucky hit. Highly unlikely that Huge SnS will actually win, but let's see what happens.

Quick. Simple. Entertaining. Those words are the best I can say about how this fight went. ZLTO had some bad luck in it's tournament run, but with a new arena and an opponent which took second place in BTTB 1, this may not be easy for ZLTO.

JD is actually a creative builder, yet I don't see many competitive bots from him. I miss him, he's a pretty cool guy. Anyway, Sage can easily bypass the armor on PTEBTD since it has no wedges.

This match just overstays it's welcome if you're watching the raw match. Long strings of nothing happening, lag up the wazoo, and it's just not pretty to watch. However, after editing it, this match grown on me a bit. I got all the moments worth seeing. Anyway, TtTtM can easily beat HF since they are multibots which are both bad rammers, but with the advantage of multibots, It might go according to TtTtM's plan...

Tribute to Tribute to Mayhem wins 2-1 with 2 WBP's and 3 KO's. Hammer Fisted gets 1 TKO.

If Dumb Drum gets under Havok Explosion, it's over for Havok Explosion. If Havok Explosion gets under Dumb Drum, it might not be over for Dumb Drum. Both bots have potential of winning based on who gets under who. Dumb Drum has longer wedges, yet Havok Explosion can avoid that wedge with a center wedge to get under it. It's a close one.

There are three ways to beat a popup with an HS. Troll Dance on it, Keep your underside away from the weapons, or tear the armor on it and get at it's wedged front. The last two won't work so well for SC, so he'll have to pray for a victory for this match. G4W was the champion of BTTB 3 for a reason, besides Ounce getting another popup to build for the tournament.

A close and slightly bizarre fight. Los Lobos might have trouble with this since the weapons are on a long extender rack which can be the downfall since they expose those often. However, even if Los Lobos does lose it's weapons, it might not be over for it since it also takes it's waming rack into account. Will that actually defend itself from the dual weaponry on Shaver BX^2? It's just another reason to watch this match.

It can be entertaning when you combine a chained Tribar HS and a VS that's not chained in the ring together. It's not the best, but I thought it was a good fight. SD is gonna have to hope the hammers don't break off early, or it's toast since it'll be unstable. That won't be easy since DSoG can get around the wide stance  that SD has for it's wedges, but if SD gets you from it's hammers, you will fly. It's also nice to see bots like SD since they remind me of Orbital Delivery Vehicle. You don't see them often. There's a good reaon for that though.

Stealth DESTROYA wins 2-1 with 2 KO's Darker Shades of Gray gets 1 KO.

It's a glorious matchup we have here. Naryar hates crawlers and now he's facing off against two of them this time. Crawlers can be defeated if you can flip them out of the arena since their weapons are the one weakness. However, O_o_O got a KO with the crawlers in the arena from trapping it and persistent fighting. RBP can't exactly do that consistently since it relies on speed and power for that to happen. It's a close match.

Altiwude is built for fast kills and CBD can't really brag it's wedges are extremely good. It's a short battle, so I'll keep this short too.

I didn't expect this match to be so close. I mean, a popup with irons doesn't usually fare well compared to razor popups since their weight can impact it in the end. Then again, if EotB does get under Windmill, it will take advantage of that and it will hurt. The closest match is Round 1, yet havok can really lower the tension of a fight.

Not only is there destruction, but there is intensity of who would win. How can a wedge war be so close? Answer: You don't make them OHKO popups and you increase the gore. Anyway, TBK is interesting since it's a wedged undercutting HS and has the capability of destroying SoD, but the matter is staying under which can create the deciding factor of this fight.

This fight wasn't so thrilling, but match 1 is worth seeing with a KO slam on the wall, and that's all this fight has going for it. Even after extensive editing which I edit out all the moments where nothing happens, it's just becomes pushfest in rounds 2 and 3 BLT can't really take advantage of CoFI since the wedges are directly in the center and CoFI can get around the wedges and have BLT for lunch. But if BLT can get under, it might have a shot.

Uhh... Yeah. NFX (the bot) can't really attack Drumbelina since it has no way of getting under or actually ripping of the weapons of it's drums. Well, I gotta give some hope to NFX though.

This match was fast and furious. I thought Arcade HW would be at a disadvantage since it lacks the under armor for popups, is underweight, and the fact the weapons are arranged in a way so they don't work as effectively as bots like NLSGT or AC. However, the weapons on Arcade HW are FAST. Let's find out how this goes.

The Jseter's Hat wins 2-1 with 2 KO's. Arcade HW: Rise of GF93 gets 1 KO.

As long as the caster armor on c3 serves it's purpose, it should be fine right? Probably not since c3 can be unstable with the bar design of the HS. KAiZA is the perfect bot to take advantage of that since it can juggle bots and is fast to take advantage of that. Yet c3 can take of the exposed motors that power the VS of it. This can go either way, or be very one-sided.

Um, BISHOP might be able to beat NF if it tears off the wedges? It's capable of doing that since it can slide in the middle. Right?

This match is a very, very boring. Since RD's can't reach BISHOP since BISHOP has that nose wedge in front of it, that mean both bots are locked in a dull wedge stalemate until one bot actively wins by points. But, the good news about this match is that Round 3 is best of the 3 matches since it's really short. But c'mon already, You know who's already. Must I even keep it a secret?

As I said earlier, Stupid Bear's Weapons are bear claws. You know what that means right? If you guessed normals, then you've summed up the one weakness of Stupid Bear. While some of Stupid Bear's weapons are facing where the claws can hit it, the rests are facing in a way so they aren't effective. c3 might be able to take advantage of that since it has long reach to hit the wheels and is packing maces for weapons, which are durable weapons by the way, c3 can cause a lot of damage with how how it can hit Stupid Bear. The bad news for c3 is that if it misses, it's leaving it's exposed wheels and is an easy target for Stupid Bear. This might be close.

Arcade HW is underweight and doesn't offer many weapons to attack Killdozer with. However, that isn't always bad for Arcade HW mind you. When Arcade HW gets up to speed, it's fast. Really fast. It's fast to where it's dangerous to get hit by Arcade HW. A bot that can attack that with the weapons forming a wall is a rammer, and Killdozer has the speed and trapping ability to make Arcade HW hit the weapons and lose it's weapons before Killdozer does. However, Arcade HW can attack Killdozer to where it can flip it upside down to where it loses that trapping ability. If that doesn't happen, it's Game Over for Arcade HW.

Arcade HW wins 2-1 with 1 KO and 1 WBP. Killdozer II gets 1 KO.

We got two bots that were claimed SFTWs and we will see who is the best of the worst. Okay NFX is slightly better than Hammer fisted and maybe Huge SnS, but that's not the point. Before anyone makes an angry comment about the AI, all that was done by GK, I'm just going with how it was done. Besides that, there really isn't much else to talk about. Don't expect an edge of your seat match here folks. It's full of predictable outcomes and boring ways to make the match drag. Round 3 is the worst defender with the boring factor since nothing happens at all in that round!

NFX wins with 1 KO and 1 WBP. Vroooom gets 1 TKO. Somehow.

Holy carp. I thought there wouldn't be a match just as or even more boring that BISHOP vs. Radioactive Meltdown, but this match proved me wrong BIG time. Both bots get stuck together and go in circles for the entire duration of the match. Good lord, I'd rather watch the maze screen saver on a Windows XP computer than watch this match. At least Round 2 doesn't have this, but that doesn't even make up for Rounds 1 & 3. I guess I should do some rest rule if I ever get this in an actual tournament if that actually happens.

Black Knight has wedges and is capable of undercutting robots that are Horizontal Spinners, like EoBSS X. Black Knight can also take advantage of the plastic armor on EoBSS X and KO it easily. EoBSS X wasn't built to handle bots with wedges with it's setup. I think I've said more than I should, so I mght as well stop typing and say the winner in a spoiler now.

If a VS wasn't enough for Rusty Seringe, it's now gotta face off against a popup, with irons nonetheless. Poor Rusty Seringe. Fighting two bots that can get to it's underbelly and KO it.

O_o_O might as well be facing off against a VS. It's facing off against an opponent that can take off the FS discs on a hammer. and there is no vulnerable top for O_o_O to take advantage of since the hammers retract so it can't attack the head of CBD even if the hammers aren't fired.

Crush's Big Daddy wins 2-1 with 2 KO's. O_o_O gets 1 TKO.

Well, that's two bots that Atomic had to face that were built by Naryar. It's almost like it's meant to be. However, this is probably the worse of the two match ups since RBP has longer wedges for Atomic to slide under and is faster than CBD. Atomic better pray for this one. He's up against it now. Tough luck for the poker.

Rapiiid Bit Pull wins 3-0 with 2 TKO's and 1 KO.

DSoG is gonna have a tough time tossing SI since the wedges aren't as far apart as SI and are longer so SI can get under easily and cut DSoG. However, DSoG can troll dance and bumble around to tear off the parts of SI so it can get to the armor of it. Round 3 is boring since the two get stuck and dance so neither bot can attack reliably. This lasts for a good minute and a half before something cool happens. Yes. Something cool happened while bots were dancing!

Sushi Instructor wins 3-0 with 2 TKO's and 1 KO.

If Shaver can get under and toss Stiletto around, it will win this match. Otherwise, it's going to hurt and be very painful for Shaver since Stiletto is not only a wall, but it can pack a punch if fast enough. It's like a balance between speed and power with no real strengths or weaknesses about it's structure. But there is one thing that Shaver can take into account though, it has a wedge for Stiletto to get on and let it tear it up. So the wedge might make the speed pointless, but if you want to know what happens, watch the match. No seriously. Don't click that spoiler just yet. Why would you put your mouse pointer near that when you haven't seen the match? C'mon! Stop that!

I was very curious about that 256 tourney Badnik did and it had Macro Vulcan going so far, that it was hilarious. I was really hoping a similar fate would happen to it in the Losers Bracket. Hell, Macro Vulcan is capable of it. It just needs to be in the perfect position to flip out SC. The match however, was disappointing. I was hoping it would be much closer than this, but alas, it is really one-sided.

You know, I'm starting to feel a soft side for flippers now, in an arena with open walls anyway. Why? Well, it can be so satisfying to toss your opponent who's giving you hell in the arena out like you've made a slam dunk in Basketball. It also can lead to a bunch of stunts because of a flip on to an opponent. However, if just one flipper piece breaks off, then your doomed to try since they don't have much power left to flip your opponent out, and that's what HE has to take account of when fighting BA. The long wedge, while leading to better flips, is extremely exposed and can be HE's downfall.

Burrrrrrrrrried Aloive wins 2-1 with 1 KO and 1 TKO. Havok Explosion gets 1 TKO.

The Hammer Fisted twins are capable of annoying CW, but not really KO'ing it easily. Even worse for them is that CW can hit the vulnerable tops of Hammer Fisted. But the question is can CW destroy one of the two pokers before it stalls the match because Hammer Fisted attacks CW and CW can't really hit Hammer Fisted because it's two unstable?

Canadian Warlord wins 3-0 with 5 KO's and 1 WBP.

If CoC can get under Easy Button quick enough and get a powerful enough flip to get out of the arena, then it will win the match. Otherwise, it will leave the exposed motors for Easy Button to take account of and eat up the glass cannon like it was it's breakfast. CoC can do it, it just needs to not lose the weapons or else CoC won't do much.

Oh dear. MEH couldn't beat NF, so what does that say about the chances of MEH beating Go Up Here 2? It says the chances are pretty low since it's facing the Runner-Up of BTTB 1, but it might have a chance as Go Up Here 2 isn't as deadly as NF. There might be a chance.

This battle can end in one of two ways: It can feature loads of air time from either bot or it can have a quick one-sided bout ending in less than a minute. Either way, we might see something interesting despite this being a wedge war.

TtTtM is a peice of crap to NFX's standards with the stability of a bouncing ball and the flippers for wedges making TtTtM have a hard time properly landing a hit with the VS's, but Dumb Drum is havoky with the drum on horizontal Snapper2's. This might go either way.

G4W's wedges are god-like. They can get under pretty much anything. Los Lobos is no exception to this, or is it? This is the first wedge that Los Lobos has come across in this tournament and it's a mystery on how good either wedges they actually are.

The Twins are the only multibots that are still in this. That's not a good sign at all, even if they are crawlers. To be fair, they are the best of the three entrants that are multibots. SD will need to toss the crawlers out quickly before it loses a hammer. SD is capable of this as it's a Chained VS's with tribars. That's combining two ways on how these types of VS's can actively toss bots, and it shows. The Twins have already shown their weakness as one good smack can have them bumble out because of their design. If they can survive long enough however, they can win the match from points scored.

Stealth DESTROYA wins 2-1 with 5 TKO's. Talesspin Twins gets 1 WBP.

Wedge war... again. If Altiwude gets under Windmill, Altiwude wins. If Windmill gets under Altiwude, it might not be over for Altiwude as Windmill's weapons are far forward so that lacks the capability of keeping Altiwude on top of the razors on top.

SoD is bouncy, CoFI is not. Like the last match CoFI was in, it depends on how far apart the wedges are for SoD to get under reliably and beat CoFI. SoD can grind on the sloped wedge of CoFI long enough to win, or CoFI can juggle it and destroy with little problems whatsoever. Round 3 features a pretty kick-ass moment and it's awesome to see in my opinion

Ugh. There is lag all over this one. It just further extends why Stock Flail HS don't really taste good in the end. SC also suffers from stability issues from the flails making it harder to attack one another in the end. Lag really knows how to screw with my camera since it goes nuts from it. The match itself is good on it's own rights, but lag really had to ruin it.

I didn't think BISHOP had it in him to make it to make it to Round 4 of the Losers Bracket. BISHOP did get two lucky in it's match-ups. Then again, it might have been the fact that BISHOP was made as a VS and was meant to take out RD and Stupid Bear. If BISHOP does win this next against two crawlers, we might have the rare razor guy run of tournaments. Talespin Twins have lost to Stealth DESTROYA, a VS, by being tossed out of the arena. Every other battle the Twins were in resulted from them surviving long enough to take out their opponent by points. This isn't going to be easy for BISHOP.

Do you like matches where the only thing happening to both opponents is hugging the walls waiting and stalling the match until one loses from a loss of multiple components and they had to take the fall? Look no further! This match is for you! Los Lobos really knows how to make the majority of the match go slow making Arcade HW lose multiple components and Arcade HW will be hoping it has enough to tear into Los Lobos apart. It may only be a matter of time before Los Lobos actually tears into Arcade HW with the wamming rack and it's long popup rack. It could expose it for Arcade HW to actually pull through.

While the first match is extremely boring with nothing happening at all, the next two matches are significantly better in terms of entertainment. BLT is capable of out wedging Dumb Drum with the wedges being in the center while Dumb Drum's are farther apart, but Dumb Drum has the speed advantage to flank BLT to get under. Whoever breaks off their opponents wedges first pretty much has won it already.

Dumb Drum wins 2-1 with 2 KO's. Bacon/Lettuce/Tomato gets 1 WBP.

Some weird recording mishap happened for some odd reason and I don't exactly have a specific reason for it. But that doesn't matter, what matters is that this match has some pretty good hang time coming from ZLTO and has some devastating hits from CBD. While it is the usual wedge war, it still ends up being a better match in this that I had to record so far. There's also one moment where I probably should have thought about before I started the tournament with my rules in tact and one where I will need to consider for my next tournament. Yeah, I should've thought about that before, but this is why I do this display tournaments, so I don't run into these issues from the main tournaments I do, so sue me.

ZLTO wins with 2 TKO's. Crush's Big Daddy gets 1 KO. The ragetoon on the botom of CBD would sum up Round 1 quite nicely.

I had little to cut since the matches were pretty decently lengthened out while not being as short as a classic Popup vs. Rammer battle where it's too short and not one of those HS battles where it would lag out to an eternity. It's at a neutral length for what the match is. Anyway, both bots are different bot types but they have the speed and deadliness ability to be efficient gut-rippers along with the ability to self-right. However, one has something that the other doesn't: The better wedges, and that will be the sole decider for this match.

KAiZA wins 3-0 with 3 KO's.

Like the usual Popup vs. Rammer battle, the VS vs. Hammer battles are just as one-sided, but this type of match-up can take more time that the former and is actually rarer since you don't see many hammers in tournaments anymore. CW may have a chance if... um, it doesn't use the hammers? It's got that ramming rack in the front.

Circle of Flaming Irons wins 3-0 with 2 KO's and 1 TKO.

I was actually hoping this match would be over quickly since it's two popups duking it out, but no, It had to extend itself. Not as bad as I feared, but it's different for being longer than it usually is. Both bots made it very far in the tournament and only one is capable of advancing to the next round. Who will it be? TtTtM has gotten pretty lucky in it's matchups as it's already taken out good bots such Killdozer II and Dumb Drum. ElectroN has shown it's power in previous matches by having all it's matches end in a 3-0 result while TtTtM has lost once in a battle before advancing. That's gonna spell bad news if it can't hold it together for a fourth match.

SD seems like the perfect bot to take on G4W. It's got caster armor along with the fact it's a VS where if you build it just right, it can take out popups with little issues. G4W just needs one good hit on SD to send SD to it's doom on the chassis or the weapon motors for that matter. Both bots are under some deep trouble and have a chance at losing. Only one can advance, so who will join up with our previous semifinalist?

SoD didn't do as well in BTTB 3 as it's doing here. It got some pretty unlucky match-ups and it had a chance of doing extremely well in BTTB 3. Then again, maybe it's run stops here as it's now facing against a nasty juggler which can get some kills if it traps SoD in a corner.

A lot better than I thought it was before I edited it together. It's full of action, destruction, and it's a pretty close one. Not amazing, but it's good enough. Anyway, Los Lobos has those pitchfork popup arms that can flip bots as well as attack them as well. With a crawler in mind fighting Los Lobos, the Twins are in for a tough fight as both weaknesses are showing for this fight. As long Los Lobos can keep his guard up to take out the Twins quick enough, this should be easy for Los Lobos. Otherwise...

While there is a lot of moments where bot h bots get stuck in a corner more times than I can count, it's not too bad of a fight. Los Lobos has the capability to flip opponents on their back and maybe even out of the areba, but that really means nothing if it attacks the underbelly long enough to score a KO. SoD really needs to grind up the razors of the popup rack on Los Lobos if it wants to win.

G4W is nearly unstoppable if you look at it's current record. I've never seen a single bot outwedge this long enough for it to beat it. It's possible to actually beat it, but it's very tough to do so since it's fast, has long wedges, and are at a wide stance. This is a tough battle for ElectroN. Things are looking grim. However,we have seen ElectroN fight off every wedge it's faced off against. It's capable of outwedging bots. The question is: Does ElectroN have the capability to actually outwedge G4W long enough so it can beat it, or will G4W beat ElectroN to a pulp in less than a minute?

Grade-4 Whiplash wins 3-0 with 3 KO's.

I would just say wedge war and call it a description, but that probably won't dictate the entire match. Windmill is a nasty machine if it does get on it's head. It can fend off opponents with the juggler blades on top of it so that NF loses it's weapons and possibly the chassis HP so that Windmill can win. If that doesn't happen, then NF will eat up Windmill. The bottom of Windmil says "Blown away" and that could sum up Windmill of NF gets underneath it to destroy it. Both bots made it very far in the bracket of BTTB 1, so both have a legitimate shot of actually making it to the finals.

It'll be a tough match for a bot like Los Lobos to get under Dumb Drum with the wedges it provides since they suffer from some minor Bounty Hunter Syndrome. Dumb Drum on the other hand has been havoking like nuts throughout the tournament with the motor attachments. They both have something to hope for to help them win.

This a closer match than I thought it would be. Jester's Hat might have some trouble with this as SD was built to take on popups somewhat unintentionally if you think about it. On the other hand, G4W took down SD no problem with the exception of losing its razors in one match. Jester's Hat better hope that it's over in a painless fashion on his side, especially since it's been in the Loser's Bracket since the fourth round.

Dumb Drum has lost to a bouncy VS in the Winners Bracket, so this may not be any easier for it since now Dumb Drum is fighting ElectroN, a very stable, simple, and effective VS. Dumb Drum has taken out Drumbelina II with little issues so it has some advantage. It ain't over till it's over.

If Windmill gets under SD, Windmill will be the victor. If SD gets under Windmill, SD might not claim victory so easily as Windmill would. SD has made it this far and has done very well in this, but it has sledges for weapons which if one flies off, it will spell trouble for SD since it will be incredibly unstable and bounce like nobody's business. With Windmill flipped over, it can shove it's juggling blades into SD's face which could make it hard for SD to fight.

We draw closer and closer to the end, as we see our third Quarterfinal. These two have lost in their respective quarterfinal, so one of the two will get a chance to make a comeback against the opponent they've lost to which put them here, or it can end up with them fighting a new opponent. Either way, we may be bound to see something awesome. ElectroN has the simple setup and it's very effective as it has faced against many great wedges before getting here and it's still ended with 3-0 against every bot except for G4W. Windmill, while not as wedgy, is faster than ElectroN since it has 4 HPZ's for drive opposed to ElectroN's 2 Standard Z-teks and 2 HPZ's. This could spell trouble for either opponent.

As mentioned before, both of these bots were built by Ounce and I will say this again(?) Ounce must've had some good luck with his bot types since he got popups both in BTTB 1 & 3, and he knows how to build them as we are seeing both fight now. If you recall about 4 and a 1/2 years ago, The Ounce gave a preview pic of his BTTB 3 entry beating his BTTB 1 entry in a OHKO. However, this is no longer the Twiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisted (or however long that name is) Arena and this is the Keznorg IGC. Things might change for either bot as Nuclear Fallout has a longer front than G4W, but G4W has the advantage on it's stance as it's wider and can get around to Nuclear Fallout easier than you might think. This is a close bout. These two have a good shot for the final, but only one can be the victor.

It's very suprising to me for both ends of this fight. Firstly, ElectroN is a rather strong dark horse of this since it's very different than most bots because Wedged VS both have their pros and cons with them being well balanced in this one. Secondly, I did not expect to see G4W to lose to Nuclear Fallout with its fight record from many (unofficial) battles it's had. In fact, both bots have already faced off against each other in a Winners Quarterfinal with Grade-4 Whiplash as the victor with a 3-0 record. Now here's what I was surprised with it's battle: ElectroN actually got under G4W in Battle 3 and I have said it before, ElectroN can get under G4W, but it needs to stay under G4W in order to actually defeat it. Is ElectroN capable of defeating G4W to settle the score or will this end up as one-sided like last time they fought. There's also one certain event that happens here that I probably should address a certain rule for when I get to my next tournament soon.
