Title: Boss Rush [Inactive]

(this might be a mistake since i'm running gtmcs also but #yolo)

BORING RULES:
-Ironforge, standard building style, MW
-No cheatbot parts, custom parts, etc.
-Multibots are allowed (because MW multibots are totally a thing)
-SnS are not allowed
-Crawlers are not allowed
-BOTS MUST SHOW CONTROLLED MOVEMENT
-No BFE, AAM, EXP, or whatever other crazy acronym you guys use
-Rule of 7 break is allowed, other SergePatcher features are not
-Arena will be the Combat Arena with hazards off, 3 minute matches
-Maximum of 16 entrants, one robot per person
-If you don't AI your robot yourself, it gets Omni.py
-Havok rule: Matches with havoks will be rerecorded and not shown
-I reserve the right to disqualify any bot if it tickles my fancy

THE GIMMICK:
I have prepared 3 HW boss robots for you to fight against.  Your goal is to beat the boss as quickly as possible, or at least survive as long as possible.  Scoring works as follows:
-Beating the boss quickly is better than beating the boss slowly.
-Beating the boss slowly is better than losing to the boss slowly.
-Losing to the boss slowly is better than losing to the boss quickly.
The first round will reduce the number of robots remaining to 8.  From there, each boss fight will reduce the number of robots remaining by half.  The final two bots will have a fight to determine the winner.

Right, how about we meet the bosses?

I silhouetted them to make it a bit mysterious, but they're probably not too hard to identify.

Anyway, I won't be entering, since I of course have the ability to test my robot against the bosses, and that's a bit cheaty.

Did I miss anything, or is anything unclear?

make one of the bosses a wedgeless bot like an vs or shell. 3 wedged bosses is kinda lame

The bosses are all wedged because I literally do not have any wedgeless HW IF bots that aren't absurdly awful.

What is Omni.py?

A .py developed for Starcore's AI pack. It's used for basic AI'ing purposes and works with almost any bot type.

So, I've been thinking about this because it's a pretty valid point.  The thing is, I wanted to run this tournament such that the bosses were all robots of mine that you've had the chance to see before.  That means I don't want to build new bosses just for this.  Here are some options I came up with:

Option 1: Run the tournament as-is.
Option ii: Replace one of the bosses with 2 Pantstorms (that is, as a multibot).
Option C: Add 2 Pantstorms as an additional boss and adjust the knockout rules accordingly.
Option IV: Move the tournament to Stock.  I do have three bots I could use that don't have wedges, but then you'd have to build in Stock.

I would like to see this happen and it gives me a chance to try out IF for ideas maybe make one of the bosses un wedged so it makes stuff kinda fair :)

I figured this would get scooped up instantly, what with the clamoring for a non IRL tournament.  Clearly, I've misjudged the market a bit.  Between the large amount of "no" votes, and the fact that I don't have a replacement boss ready, I think I'm gonna shelve this one for a bit.  Instead, maybe I'll try a gimmickless Ironforge tournament.  Does that sound more enticing?
