So yeah, Robot Wars was kind of a disappointment and I'm sorry that happened. The flame just died I guess. However, I've decided I'm going to hold a quick tournament to try to rekindle the interest I had in tournaments.RULESDSL 2.1 Standard realism, though IRL bots are more than welcomeBeetleweight weight class (175.0 and below)BFE, AAM and other glitches that make your robot unrealistic are not allowed.Cheatbot2 is explicitly banned. You cannot be entered until your robot is received and acceptedI will accept one update from you, and you cannot send a placeholder robot to reserve your spot. One robot per person. This tournament will be running a modified single elimination bracket (see below), with one battle per match to decide the winner.Robots must show controlled movement. No clusterbots.Match-altering havoks (IE: Those that cause a robot to glitch OOTA, flip another robot, etc) will automatically kick the robot from the competition.Arena will be the SMALL ARENA with HAZARDS OFF.YOUR ROBOT MUST NOT BE ON THE BOT EXCHANGE PRIOR TO SIGNUPS. YOU MUST SEND ME A NEW ROBOT THAT HAS YET TO BE UPLOADED. The reason for this is that the robots I receive for this tournament will be competing in Beetleweight Bash Series 5 afterwards, and I already have every robot from the exchange. Sending me an old robot that's been renamed and re-uploaded is not okay but I'm not certain to enforce it, so we'll go by host's discretion. If it's too similar to a robot you already have on the exchange I have the right to reject it.Bracket Rules:The 24 entrants will be placed into 6 qualifier rumbles. The two longest-surviving robots advance to the next round, with 4 matches of 3 robots. The winners of these matches advance to the final rumble.I will not be entering. So yeah, what do yall think? Will you enter?
No, I mean the robot couldn't be on the exchange prior to signups opening.
Yo it's been about a month now and I still don't even have half the field. Cmon guys!
