Title: Beetle Bashers 3 - SBV

- 2 minute length battles
- 1 vs. 1 Battle Format
- Best of 3 Rounds
- Battles will take place in the Clash Cubes 3 Qualifying Arena (Reskinned) (https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/75290bb3arena.png)
- If a bot does a Havok Explosion which costs the match for it's opponent, that said bot will get a free restart, if this happens again, that bot will be disqualified.
- The Qualifiers will consist of 4 Round Robin matchups with 3 bots in each. The winner of their respected round robin bracket will advance to Eliminators.
- The Eliminators will be a Double Elimination bracket consisting of the winners of the qualifiers.

Ennui beats Gundarsaurus Rex 3-0 with 3 KO's.
Gundaraurus Rex beats Gamma 2-1 with 2 WBP's. Gamma gets 1 KO.
Ennui beats Gamma 2-1 with 2 KO's. Gamma gets 1 KO.

1st: Ennui - 2 Match wins and a record of 5-1
2nd: Gundarsaurus Rex - 1 Match win and a record of 2-4
3rd: Gamma - 0 Match wins and a record of 2-4

INTRUDER beats 20 second lifespan 3-0 with 3 KO's.
Pandora's Key beats 20 second lifespan 3-0 with 3 KO's.
Pandora's Key beats INTRUDER 2-1 with 2 KO's. INTRUDER gets 1 TKO.

1st: Pandora's Key - 2 Match wins and a record of 5-1
2nd: INTRUDER - 1 Match wins and a record of 4-2
3rd: 20 second lifespan - 0 match wins and a record of 0-6

Void Beetle beats Asiimov 3-0 with 2 TKO's and 1 KO.
Asiimov beats Purple Dot Box 3-0 with 3 TKO's.
Void Beetle beats Purple Dot Box 3-0 with 2 TKO's and 1 WBP.

and yup, i believe VB will win. Trinity is easymode though. At least it isn't gay like the 1WD HS there.

no popups which is good. though judging from all the SnS and HS there, I should have put some weapons on the sides of my ramming rack :ouch:

also i believe i outweapon everyone, however i've got some maces against me... eh

20 second lifespan: Indeed. Though it should beat some of the bots here. It even scares me, if i cannot rip off one of his weapons before he flips me...

Asiimov: Bleh. It has even less side protection than me and 4 razors only ?

Ennui: Poker. Probably HS fodder, though if it can reach inside these weapons it will kill them neatly. Also has the greatest exposed sides.

Gamma: Why does it has a redbird and a slipperbottom ? Also it's probably completely uncontrollable... noskill 1WD HS

Gundarsaurus Rex: It has the greatest skin ever. (You'll see) It's also heavily weaponed though i will regret not armoring my sides.

Injection: Another poker. Less good that Ennui, though. Exposed sides galore !

Intruder: I assume it has a blue snapper with a razor inside ? Anyways it's probably gonna be funny. Will scare me, or not, depending on if he breaks his single razor or not.

Kaiser's Little Pink Bot: It's even worse than Asiimov. And i'm not saying that because it's pink.

Kitten: At least try and make it LOOK like Spinner from the West, jaydee.

Pandora's Key: Probably gonna lose to a 1WD HS. Maybe. It's still brutal. One of the bots that scares me the most ; it should, after all, since it's made by not-Scrap Daddy.

Purple Dot Box: Noskill bot 0/10.

Void Beetle: Actually not gay. This one is actually intredasting for a 1WD spinner in that it has only a rad for weapon. I can't wait to watch it fight.

Just to clarify a major error I've made, In the heats, I never clarified what would happen in the event there is a tie in battle wins and match victories. I wanted to have a tiebreaker battle if two or more bots have the same score at the end of the heat. However, since I can't fix that since rules cannot change, I'll have to find something to fix this. I don't know how I missed this for so long. Curses.

The only way you would have a tie would be if every bot won only 1 match in the heat and that is highly unlikely. If that did happen I'm sure you could just do the heat over and nobody would care as it literally the only way to figure out who advances.

I guess that match victory ties will be resolved with how many wins in a battle (i.e. 3-0 < 2-1) to break those ties, but if everything is in a tie, then I don't know what to do.

Yeah, I think I might have to redo those matches with Omni so they would have a more fair result. I can't seem to figure out why that doesn't work as well as it has before.

if you're using the updated rammer.py then the arena is at fault too. the updated py uses collision lines to detect obstacles and walls. the cc3 qualifying arena doesn't have any collision lines in its py, so any rammers that use the updated rammer.py can't detect the walls.

Oh right. That's gotta be the issue. Now I do have one question: Should I redo the matches with a different AI line or not? It could provide a result where it doesn't lose to AI error or it could just not matter and waste time. I just would like some criticism for now and next time when I host a tournament. (That might be a while though)

Also, I'll get some grudge matches after this tournament if you have any requests. I'll allow one match per member so everyone can send one in. These matches will have the same rules as the regular matches. I don't want to go overboard with this so I won't do as many as RiS. I'm really looking for matches that would seem like a good match which hasn't existed already and not as many rematches since some of you weren't happy with how this has gone so far.

yeah iguess that makes sense I forget sometimes everything is ai now so losing a wheel is more of a big deal. rather lose a wheel than a battle though

My final thoughts for this is that I wasn't very pleased. Not how it turned out, but with what happened with AI'ing. I want to host tournaments and have some fun with it, rather than having comments saying there were AI errors. I can understand, even though the rules say don't complain since I'm doing it if you're not, but I can potentially screw things up. I'll be working on my own AI'ing skills so that the bot works perfectly so that nothing can go wrong at all. This is one of the big reasons why I'll wait a pretty long time before I do tournaments again. (besides college). I won't say any kinds of hints of what my next tournament will be though, but I don't know if anyone is actually on the edge of their seat that much since I've been milking myself to make six tournaments in a single year. I know I sound pretty stupid, why don't we just move on and continue with our lives. Shall we?

If any of you still want to have me do any grudge matches, then go right ahead. I'll put up the Awards thread tommorrow.
