err Click was using the Lu-Tze thing as an example

anyway point is.. you dont need to nag click about expending.. you need to just get down to building something and make sure you dont miss the cut

long story short there was quite a few experienced players who left it to the last minute to send robots in and missed out... then started whacking the new people for filling up the bracket...

thats why clicks giving everyone huge amounts of warning before hand

Wasn't really noob whacking, but that was a flame war.

R0B0 was BAWWWing about BBEANS being filled up with newbies rather than giving a preference to the veterans, I followed the idea (i thnk Scrap did as well), and someone (was it S32 ? I don't remember) completely opposed the thing, and the flame war ended with one single post from Click.

Then came the CW3K part, a few weeks after this i remember.

Okay, so I spent 2 hours building a kick ass bot (for my level) and just last night realised it was a HW on acident, so I rebuilt it, and it SUCKS but oh well

No offense but I think Joe's estimate is more accurate... Some of the people that were listed haven't been on lately and/or don't play DSL.

I, personally, don't play DSL unless I want to look at one of its mods. Therefore, its not likely that I'll be participating but I might be inspired enough to make some DSL bots.
