Sometimes Ant Batteries can be a godsend. I think that overall they're better than the biggest battery there, PTC something-or-other, the 60 amp one. Six ant batts might be a bit heavier, but you don't have to make the chassis as tall to accomodate them, so you save weight there. I reckon it balances out pretty well.

But other ant parts can also theoretically be useful, depending on how much power you want in your drive.

Hmmmm... a AW Rancid Cesspool Duo might have fared well.  I kinda wish we had brought up this topic earlier.

The whole AW multibots suck thing is carried over from stock, where AW multi's don't have a chance at all.

There are way better components in DSL, and most LW's aren't all encompassing HS.

If we consider the piglet and the ant battery ant parts, then these are the only good ant parts.

The copal fails in torque/kg and the 2 ant weapons even more.

Multi Bots fail in general, unless we are talking about UHW, which are totally awesome.

If multibots are any better in stock, I wouldn't know.  But the only multibot in DSL I remember was the UHW flipper, which was pretty awesome.

If they are that good, I would have to ask why so little multibots are made.

Multibots are good in the HW, SHW and UHW class

If they are that good, I would have to ask why so little multibots are made.

the second a competition becomes more then 1on1 it outlaws them.. so that plays a big role.

I have been entering some here and there latly...

I'm inclined to agree, generally they don't seem to do that well against better-built robots.

Multibots are a strategy.

You can use two bots of the same type or a team which compliments each other.

You need to be good at building to get effective multibots, because some of the necessary parts sums up as wasted weight (2 control boards, more chassis space... etc)

Like Vowel and Consonant ?

But i agree - a Stock HW multibot popup is quite deadly unless against a HS, and if we get a realistic Stock HW tournament i'll gonna enter this.

Yup.

Consonant should have been built better though...
