I think S32 accidentally deleted his happy mode when he copied his files onto a new server. =P

And I thought your bot was actually quite good, Zog. Just seemed to jump about on the FS disc a little bit. Certainly better than mine. XD

Oh thought Zog built pretty good, I must be getting him confused with someone else.
Constructive criticisms:
Put the drive on the sides for turning radius-ness (I know I saw a place for it when I watched the video, I will have to look again)
Shrink the chassis
inevitably reduce the amount of batteries (There has to be waay to much juice in there).

ignore the negative people Zog, some vets just think they can talk down to people because they have been around longer and have had longer to improve. Everyone will have different skill levels in building robots.

i'm sure they built failbots back in the day too... we all did.

also, shame i couldn't enter this tourney :O i might have got more wins then all my other BBEANS efforts.

Hey Ian, If you get RA2 starting again, I know that both Pys and MNB missed this BBEANS and are sending their "missed chance" LW to Click for the AI. Maybe You could ask to send yours too.

ZPN is a fail. In fact, its failure has spurred me on to create some more DSL LW bots, which I might showcase soon. =P

My bot can self right its self in that angle i belive.

Really?  How?  If it can be AI'd I'll try and whip up a custom .py for your next match.  (Though I don't think you need to worry about being flipped by kill box.)

Yeah I was also really surprised when Mutant Kabuto won the next two rounds.  You dominated the first round so thoroughly.

Also G.K., Psychoblade IS seeded; if Scorpio has a rank it means he's been in previous BBEANS  ;)   All BBEANS veterans were seeded in the bracket before filling it in with all the rookies.

Anyways...

Round 1, part 3/4 is up!

It's a mix of good and bad this time.  Some awesome fights, and some not-so-awesome fights.  There's also one fight that could be rather controversial, though I tried to be as fair as I could about it.  Make sure to read the spoiler I wrote up for 1.8 vs. Minifridge 4.

Well,

Overall, the matches were okay, although one of them did surprise me.

Some good matches, Click how come bisector drives like that?

Because of the way the drive is positioned in relation to the chassis.  I've noticed that if you have your drive mounted in front of your chassis, the bot doesn't drive straight (and, conversely, if your drive is mounted behind your chassis you don't drive straight in reverse--see Meteorite and 1.8).  It seems the further away from the chassis the drive is, the more extreme the effect.

I have plans for a Bisector III that has the chassis in the front rather than way in back, so it will drive straight.  But priority #1 is getting the matches recorded.
