I made Blaze Line in my spare time, , I did the same with Tiny Little Demon.

I made Acornia 3 when I was bored out of my skull. Heck, most of my best bots are made when i'm bored.

Hey everyone.  I'm back, and the wildcard tournament videos are up!  The 64th bot in the tournament is decided!


I wanted to get the wildcards done quickly, so the whole thing is combined into 3 parts, 2 fights each, with minimal extra effects.  The main tournament videos will look more like the mock battle I posted on Youtube.


AND that's not all, I also got the brackets made up!  Warning: contains spoilers for the wildcard tournament.  Don't scroll down too far if you want to keep the wildcards a surprise.

One of these days I WILL have a real chance in one of these tournaments, it's the only thing keeping me from retiring from RA2 completely. BBEANS7 here we come.

I would love to see the rumble be 3 Sheck Spinners and one lone rammer or pop up :P it would be greater then the BBEANS title if it could beat all three :P

Great. I get the one type of robot I am absolutely going to lose to in round 1, and the worst part of it all is that in my very first BBEANS, I get thrown into the proverbial fire.

And as for me... I'm facing Bisector (Click's devastator) in the opening round. If I can somehow bob and weave and avoid that dang spike, I may have a small shot. If I'm stuck at any point against a wall, my goose is cooked.

dont get too down about luck of the draw.. there is a far worse luck in the history of BBEANS... BBEANS 5 had lots including myself loosing by 1 second

but BBEANS is like that big annual show or festival that comes to your home town.. you should just enjoy the awesome

I’m liking Mr. Punch’s AI.  Part of your new Rammer.py project perhaps?

Also, is it me or did Shilka’s weapon motors come off rather easily?  I thought Piglets had 8000hp.

Anyway, predictions:

ReActive over Lil' Eager V2 - Mike is simply the better builder here.  The wheel guards aren't going to help much here since ReActive will just go for the exposed chassis.

The Strike of a Ninja over Sawzal - Sawzal's core is too fragile to last long if its opponent gets under it.  However if it can keep itself off of its opponent's wedge, which I doubt would happen since the blades are too high, then it might stand a chance.

Power Surge over Stardust – While Star Dust is the better built, It doesn’t do too well against SnSs unless the SnS is unstable, which this one doesn’t look to be.

N-Trench over Shish-Kebab 2 – I don’t think Shish Kebab will be able to flip N-Trench OOTA on its own, and by the time the flippers activate it’ll probably be too late.

Death of Angels 2 over Acornia 3 – rammers just don’t tend to do well against popups, but Acornia has a lot of force behind that weapon; if it can keep DOA2’s weapon away from it enough, then it might get a win or 2.

Resentful Princess 2 over Moving Violation – HS vs VS match.  If MV is fast and damaging enough then it can probably gut-rip it successfully, but the vulnerable connector and RP2’s spinspeed very likely have this match decided already.

Final Z over Elle Driver – Final Z will hit the vulnerable parts of ED, but if Elle Driver is fast enough or if it can destabilize Final Z then it just might KO it.

What Sheck Spinner? over Bot with spinny thingy – When the trapping ability of WSS? meets the exposed chassis of BWST, it will equal a dead bot with a spinny thingy.

New Ruin over Kill Box – Kill Box looks like it can trap New Ruin, but the panels holding the weapons will get hit first, then it won’t be able to trap it.

Mutant Kabuto over Precision Impact – If Mutant Kabuto can spin fast enough, it will break the drills and render Precision Impact unable to gut-rip it, though it still looks like Precision Impact could get underneath it.

Blood Orange over The Telephone Effect – Wedge-less VSs, when well-built, tend to do well against other wedges, but if TTE’s weapons/armor can hold out until Blood Orange loses a hammer then it might be able to come back and KO it.

Missile Test over Conficker – It looks like it could go either way actually.  If Missile Test can avoid hitting its opponent’s weapons, then it should be an easy KO.  However, the drive on both of them and the way their weapons are positioned could allow Missile
Test to break its weapons and lose by points.

Minor Launch Platform MK2 over Blaze Line – MLP2 looks faster, better armored, and better wedged than Blaze Line, but the general cheapness of true popups makes this less one-sided.

Guardian Angels over Meteorite – While both don’t have much in the weapons category, Guardian Angels has the better wedge, but its weapon setup and Meteorite’s well defended chassis could give it some trouble while trying to KO it.

Bane X over Zombie Pirate Ninja – It speaks for itself really.

Psychoblade over Blabber-Mouth – While neither of them look like they can do much damage, Psychoblade has more weaponry, so the normals won’t really matter, even more if the blade spins in the direction the teeth are pointing. 

AtaxiA over Trance Hazard – Trance Hazard’s motors are too exposed and the weapon too high to be able to resist gut-ripping.

Deinonychus over Tomcat II – While Tomcat II is the better built, that skirt hinge looks like it will ruin the wedge, and Deinonychus just might have more weaponry.

1.8 over Minifridge 4 – Bots that out-weapon shell spinners usually beat them, but Minifridge’s weapons look like they might be in the right position to hit the weapon extenders of 1.8.  Overall, it could go either way.

Power Surge 3 over Killer Green Yoshi – PS3 (lol @ acronym) will likely get underneath and gut-rip KGY, but if Killer Green Yoshi’s weapon can knock it away enough times (though that would be hard to do looking at its opponent’s drive), then it might be able to win.

Bisector over Kurt Rambis – A destructive and heavily-armored hammer versus a rammer with an exposed top: it shouldn’t be hard to predict what will happen.

Reier’s Avatar 3 over Your Final Moment – Reier’s Avatar 3 will be able to rip off the side panel armor, which also hold the weapons, and then tear apart its chassis for the win.

Come Get Some! over AntonYYYm – While Come Get Some! looks a bit unstable, and AntonYYYm looks like it can flip well, it still can’t deal damage, and the wedge is kind of steep.

Stanley 2 over Ice Tornado – While I built Ice Tornado to Combat FSS, it tends not to well against those with ≥ 8 flail razors.  Ice Tornado won’t be able to break off all of its opponent’s weapons without losing half of its own, and when that happens, the wheels and other non-weapon parts will get hit = loss by points.

Terrible Sight over Bot With MOVING Spikes – It could go either way but Terrible Sight Just might have the better wedge, and it’s faster.

S Cargo over 4Head – VS aren’t friendly to rammers, and the normal weapons on this one don’t look like they can deal enough damage before S Cargo reaches its chassis.

Primal Instincts over All or Nothing – While AON looks well-built, it’s still a bot with an exposed top facing a hammer, and it might not be able to knock off the plow in time.  A rather unlucky draw for Redline here.

Predator over That Spike Thing… - That Spike Thing just doesn’t have enough weapons or reach, ‘nuff said.

Flux over Claw Cube 3 – Flux probably has the better wedge, but the weapons as well as the metal hinge wedge of Claw Cube 3 just might give it an advantage.

AH COME ON!!! over The Mini Warrior – Neither of them are well built, but Sparkey’s bot has the better wedge as well as more weapons.  However if the armor on The Mini Warrior can give it enough time to for it to get a few hits on its opponent’s chassis, then…

Hredder 6.6 over Infection 4 – I tested Infection 4 against DiSemboweLment and it was able to get under it every time.  If Infection 4 can’t out-wedge DiSemboweLment then I doubt it could beat Hredder 6.6.

Trigger Happy over Biridium – Popups usually beat rammers, and this one doesn’t look like it can disprove that generalization, because it’s too fast and too exposed.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Ounce.  Coming into this, I really felt like I was under pressure, (no pun intended)  and it's nice to hear that the general concensus of my bot is "not terrible".
