Batteries Included -On Hiatus-
« on: January 18, 2013, 01:04:14 PM »

DSL SHW (Bots must be between 1190-1200.2kg in total)
No BFE/AAM/Sharpie Sniffing
Multibots are allowed, but each bot must weigh less than 600.2kg each and no more than 1200.4kg in total.
Realistic Rule Enabled
Narmour Be Gone shall be used
32 man double elimination bracket, with 3 matches per battle.
Each robot gets one havok per round, any more and they lose the battle 0-3
All robots must show controlled movement
I can ai, but I reserve the right to ask you to AI it yourself.
(The 090901 Rule) Every robot must pass a basic quality control. (Basically, no more EVIL GREEN BOX or Unf kthnx)
Arena shall be the Epic Showdown arena. Unless anyone has any better ideas.

All robots must use the Batteries Included custom components (Available here) for all their Control board, Power, and Airtank needs. At 0.1kg and a heck of a lot of power each, they should suffice. This should free up weight so you can spend it on fun things, like more weapons.

Every entrant can enter 2 robots; one in the main bracket, and one in the Backup Brigade. If at the end of the signup period there are still empty spaces in the main bracket, then the robots in the backup brigade shall fight a series of rumbles/1v1 matches to see who gets into the main bracket.

OH AND ALL ENTRANTS MUST BE PM'D TO ME OTHERWISE THEY WILL NOT COUNT.

Yep. That's what multibot means.
And i'm going to tweak the multibot rule, so each bot cannot weigh more than 600kg.

DP: Well, this seems popular. I've added a poll, if you would vote in it that'd be great.

Ok, so i've left the poll for a few days and evidently a 32 bot bracket is clearly a bit too optimistic. But for the 9 people that voted, thanks!

At the moment there doesn't seem enough interest for me to bother running this one, quite frankly.

GTM is too inactive nowdays to fill out just about any 32 bracket tournies it seems, maybe 16 seems more realistic?
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

I'm going under the logic that if 10 people bothered to vote in the poll, then a couple less than that are going to make a bot with the custom components/convert an existing one. And with a 8 bot bracket I wouldn't feel that's enough to bother.

Putting this on hiatus for a bit, as there's a couple of tweaks I'd want to make to the format and I want to run another tourney that should garner a bit more interest.
