Banter Wars - Robot Wars-Inspired Robot Arena Competition!

Hello! I'm back again.

Hoping this is a good place to post this. If not, could a mod place it where it belongs?

I recently started a show called Banter Wars on my YouTube channel, building my own robots and putting them through a Robot Wars-Like Tournament to find a champion. However, for series 2 and beyond, I want other people entering robots. So far, I have a full lineup for Series 2, but I could do with some more robots for the side-competitions.

If you're interested in taking part, I'd love for you to create you own robot and join. The only pseudo-rule is that the competitors are NOT done on DSL, so they only use components from the original unaltered game. Aside, the robots are up to the standard of Series 1 or Series 2 Robot Wars, so don't make it too good! =P

In Series 3, this will change. I will allow use of DSL and the robots can be as good as you want them to be. However, I'm not accepting entrants yet.

what weightclasses ? is it MW, HW, LW, or all three ?

components from the original game bans the snapper II i guess, and the 5kg 120cm square extender, but i see some bear claws in there.

you'll need to have a better ruleset, i think...

Seems like what jonzu/yugi did with robot wars series 8. Looks interesting though, I can enter something for series 3.

The huge variety in bots really makes it hard to gauge what would be 'fair' to enter. I mean some are circles with a couple of spike strips whilst the winner is a massive box with a compound HS and relatively loads of weapons.

Yeah the quality of robots in the series are Britbongs vs. Amerifats tier which is why I entered
though my 1st bot got rejected for being "too good"
even though the series 1 champion was way better than the other bots
so you might as well get your noob bots ready.
Also Squirrel he said he's gonna make sure the bots are all noob tier.

The 2 problems I have is that it's a allweight tournament with no separate classes so the chance of a LW going against a HW are high and there is no rule for havok explosions so if it happens, it happens.

With regard to robots, the PM's Pulverizor (Series 1 Champion) was definitely overpowered. It will not be entered into the next series, so don't worry about coming up against anything that powerful! If you want to enter something powerful, I'd recommend entering series 3 where there will be no limit.

However, for now, robots will be relatively weak. This is because the majority of robots entered are for my fellow YouTubers who have only just been introduced to the game. I don't want to scare them off just yet! =P
