just making this relevant don't mind me

You realise allowing people to edit their bot between rounds is ridiculous? Especially with AWs where there is little chassis variety.

Maybe you could make a restriction that you can only edit 1/10th of the weight of your overall bot. E.G: In a 150kg robot, I could remove and replace 15kg worth of stuff at most. For modular robots, the same rule applies with each module. For example, my flipper could have a spinner module. If I then choose the spinner module and want to change it, it goes back to the rule that I can change 1/10th of the weight of it.

Even it being stock really limits the adjustments you can make before the rount
-
Edited. Thank you for the feedback!
-
Had to reset votes to get rid of third option. I don't know why I even put it there.
-
Also, judging seems rather odd, given it's made up of 6 points in total, it appears from looking at it that it can and in a draw? Mind explaining it further?
-
Edited.
-
So... Anyone else?
-
Like youve said, stock antweight are very boring. Maybe dsl ants would be more appealing. Or lightweights? But thatd would defeat the name of the tourney.

I can change it to Beetle Bashers Brawl, or Livid Lightweights.
However, since this is my first, I feel ants are easy to AI. Plus, stock AW is part of the challenge.

Stock aw what can possibly go wrong

Stock aw what can possibly go wrong
that was kinda the plan of this thing but ok
-
dang, we is so close.
-
I'll give this thing one more shot. If it doesn't work, I guess I'll scrap it. IDK what to do in these scenarios

Adapt the rules to get more entrants?
-
People just don't like anything below LW. Along with stock
-
Understandable. I'll just change it to DSL? Or do I just scrap it?

You can still do Stock if you want there's nothing stopping you, not even Superbot. However as it's been said, below Stock LWs, you're not going to get a lot of interesting designs. DSL does offer a lot more variety in designs than Stock AW, encouraging users to be more creative. But like I said, it's up to you at the end of the day.
-
I'll change it to DSL. I'll do stock LW another time.
-
DSL AW, now I got a bot for that... assuming it's IRL

It's DSL S, but I'll change it

Just a word of advice. Since this is an IRL tournament, you should try to move away from your DSL-S preference and allow IRL tools, like OBJRA2 and BFE

The rules are in place and I can't change them. Also, I'm new to this and don't really know a lot about building styles

You should try IRL then. Indeed, I know that you prefer DSL-S over IRL, though it's worth if you try IRL building for once, like how I do DSL-S for comps.
Anyway, back to the tournamnent, I will send something for this, though I don't know when. I will send as a soon as I can
