Ianh, be reasonable and aim for a 8 entrants.
Find a way to make your tournament and AI with 8 entrants only.
You can give the guys more time to enter too.

Sadly I need 16 teams for the GTM AI pack. I thought a build time of 5 days per bot would be enough time but I guess I was wrong.

People don't even need to build 5 new bots, people should be building anyway and there are 3 other stock tournaments in signups currently, 1 AW, 1 LW and 1 HW so most people should be building at least one of those already IMO.

Look at the Battlebots signups, loads of people have entered multiple bots already and one of the weights is SHW. I know it's IRL but it still requires people to build.

Stock is dead, the new DSL3 will not help much either.
Look at the stock showcases, no matter what innovative bot I made, still very few people shows interest.
The problem is not in the building time.
So, my predictions are, that You will never make it to a full basket for this one, sadly.
I really want this one to happen.

I'm hoping things pick up when people like INF enter. The original ARBBC got 19 teams but that was years ago and only required 3 bots (LW, MW, HW).

I will most likely be holding bonus time-out battles between rounds depending on if I have enough time. I want to hold ultimate rumbles (just like the one in ACF but 16 entries this time) for each weight class with all bots from that weight class being given random entry numbers.

This will require a lot more effort, but hopefully with enough time and encouragement I will be able to squeeze them in.

17 names now, seems like a lot of people are almost ready to submit their team.

Not sure if I mentioned this already but each team has 1 free slot in the AI pack, this will be for any good bot you wanted to submit but couldn't due to bot type/weight restrictions. You can submit ANYTHING you want within normal stock building rules (no cheatbot, 140cm, AAM etc. and no bumble balls or nasty pickles) 1 wheel drive bots, crawlers, SHW, UHW, FLW, FW... any of these are allowed in the free AI slot from your team!

Just so everything is clear a SnS can use spinning weapons, this does not make it a hybrid so you can have a HS and SnS with active weapons on the same team.
