similar to badnik's tournament, there will be two parts to the tournament. one part based on aesthetic ranks, and the second being based on actual combat
- After sign-ups end, bots will be ranked 1-16. Ranks 1 and 2 will receive 8 points, ranks 3 and 4 will receive 7 points, ranks 5 and 6 will receive 6 points, and so on and so forth
- Bots will then be placed into four different tiers based on their ranks.
Tier 1 1-4
Tier 2 5-8
Tier 3 9-12
Tier 4 12-16
- Each robot will fight two robots from each tier, and also the robot that was given the same point rank. Match wins are worth 1 point each, and will be added on to your previous ranking score.
- The final robot with the highest score will be the winner. In the event of a points tie, the robot with the highest ranking will be declared the winner
RULES:
Basic Tournament Stuff:
DSL-IRL ruleset - Robots must look as close to real-life designs as possible/insides must NOT be clipping through each other nonsensically. (Batteries inside motors, flippers passing through insides etc)
Heavyweight limit of 800kg.
DSL 2.4
BFE/OBJ are legal if used for realism purposes
Beaters will use their correct DSL stats
Weapon Limits:
Spinners:
- VERTS: 2 large teeth (15+kgs) ex: Large Typhoon, Ripping Teeth, Large Nightmare, etc OR 4 small teeth (7-14kgs) ex: Small Typhoons, Cutting Teeth, Heavy DS Teeth, etc OR 8 Small/6 /Med/Large Beaters. Everything else will be a case by case basis
- HORIZONTALS: Can have either a max of 3 large teeth, or 2 large teeth + 2 small teeth.
- WEDGELESS DRUMS ONLY: Can use up to 12 Small, 10 Medium or 8 Large Beaters. Other teeth types would not be allowed on these bots.
- Maximum allowed weapon weight of 80kgs for non-cosmetic damaging weapons allowed on a bot (including dsl bars). This does NOT include your weapon setup (disks, extenders, etc).
- Use basic common sense if mixing weapons (ex: 4 small typhoons and 2 larges is not allowed on VS)
- TO CLARIFY A WEDGELESS DRUM: robots like DID and Roka are wedgeless drums(eggbeater in Roka’s case) whereas something like Phantom is wedged drum

Flippers:
- Front/Rear hinges are allowed up to 1 Beta Burst/Motor or 2 VDMA R/P Bursts/VDMA Front Hinged/Storm Burst/Mag Snappers
- Top Hinges are allowed 2 Mag Snapper maximum. Pneumatics are banned
- ALL flipper types must have a flipping arc of 90 degrees _| <- like that.

Other:
- Spikes are the only damaging weapons allowed on the front of rammers, wammers are banned
- All DSL 2.4 IRL edition armors allowed
- Skirts only allowed on dustpans with proper support
- Free hinges/axles are banned for wedges/wedgelets. These are allowed for details like Rat King’s tail/Purin’s headband however!
- Ant Blades are banned for all bot types.
- No EternalFlame.py
- No meltybrain AI.
- Clusterbots are banned
- Configbots are banned
- Bots that are too unstable will be rejected
- Vertical spinners and drums are only allowed one weapon motor
- TWM's, Eteks, and Perms will have increased torque. Etek's will also have the same speed as Perm 132's. Dual Perms/6 Mags won't be changed (pro tip: use a heavier spinning setup)
- Limit of one flamethrower per bot
- Anything I don't think is fitting will be rejected, and if something is found to be illegal with your robot post sign-ups your entry will be auto DQ'ed
Battle Rules:
RW2016 with a damaging floor/walls
2 minute matches. If a match goes the full 2 minutes, it will be judged by the ENFORCER or somebody else probably
If a BFEd robot takes damage and ends up having floating parts, it will be KOed/if a bot is blatantly destroyed beyond any hope of winning
Bots that spikeball/ cannot show controlled movement for more than 15 seconds will be dq'd. Bots that frequently enter state of un-controlled movement will also be dq'ed
