reduce screen res
set the fps for fraps lower/higher (if you have fraps)

i have mine set at 25fps with 60 sec loop buffer atm and it works fine

did you try both of the solutions at the same time.
and when you lower your screen res you must lower it to the LOWEST POSSIBLE SIZE... it is probably 480 x 600 or something around that

Please can somebody help, I am desperate at this point and i need suggestions. The lag makes the videos twice as much less fun to watch.

I used the ZD soft game recorder. It's the exact same thing that I am using now.

well try fiddling around with the framerate even more then ........ find a good balance

if all else fails you can always just speed it up in wmm and put some battle music over it

theres an effect in wmm called Speed Up, Double to speed it up x2, apply it again to speed the vid up x4, again for x8, etc
but first make sure you're not using wmm live (the version that comes with windows 7), you can find windows movie maker 6.0 (the one that isnt total sh**) from http://movies.blainesville.com/2010/05/installing-windows-movie-maker-60-on.html
